The 2023 Chevy Silverado Officially Launches In Chile

Just weeks after announcing the refreshed 2023 Chevy Silverado in Chile via a special TV commercial, General Motors has just officially launched the refreshed version of Chevrolet‘s full-size pickup in the South American country.

The all-new 2023 Chevy Silverado arrives in Chile to introduce the mid-cycle refresh of the fourth-generation Silverado in that country, with revised exterior styling and a new interior design to lead its segment in the Chilean market. In addition, the 2023 Silverado debuts two new high-end variants that will further strengthen its presence and recognition in the country.

“Chevrolet Silverado is a model designed for the most adventurous people, who seek to make the most out of their favorite activities and sports,” said Chevy Silverado Product Manager at GM Chile, Mario Vergara, in a statement. “In turn, it targets those who enjoy first-class technology, comfort and style,” he added.

As the company had announced in the television commercial, the 2023 Chevy Silverado arrives in Chile in three versions with specific trim levels that include the base LT Trail Boss, the all-new ZR2 that maximizes off-road capabilities and the top-of-the-line High Country. As such, they all come standard with the most refined new interior design and class-leading technological features.

On a mechanical level, each version of the 2023 Chevy Silverado in Chile has its own distinctive engine, all mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. The lineup begins with the LT Trail Boss’s naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, followed by the ZR2’s naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The High Country features the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine that produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet.

The refreshed 2023 Chevy Silverado is now available for sale at the brand’s official dealer network in Chile, where the truck arrives with units imported from the GM Silao plant in Mexico. The three versions have distinctive finishes and convenience features that seek to satisfy different customer profiles. Here are the prices of the versions of the 2023 Silverado available in Chile:

  • 2023 Silverado LT TrailBoss: 51,634,100 CLP (about $53,160 at the current exchange rate)
  • 2023 Silverado ZR2: 60,042,100 CLP ($61,820)
  • 2023 Silverado High County: 61,511,100 CLP ($63,320)

  1. Haha, you can’t even supply the North American market!

  3. Who cares about sending units to Chili. Chevrolet cannot service their Silverado customers in the USA. We had a 2022 Silverado ordered that did not get built. Replacement 2023 order placed in July. Still not scheduled for production. GM sent a private offer because they did not fulfill the ’22 order. The private offer ends on January 3. Not holding my breath on being able to use that incentive. I guess it is easy to throw money around if you don’t plan on honoring it.

So, yes it makes perfect sense to build Silverado for Chili!
Why don’t they send the 4-cylinder Silverado’s to South America instead of trying to stuff them down their dealer’s throats

  4. GM does not care about America any more. America made them what they are today. This is the thanks we get. Chile has our trucks we been waiting for forever. Mary, your doing one hell of a bang up job, “NOT”
