The Cadillac CT5 luxury sedan first hit the scene for the 2020 model year, with only small changes and updates applied over the years. Looking ahead, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 will debut a full model refresh, and now, a prototype of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5 has been spotted testing on public roads.
Just last week, GM Authority brought you exclusive details on what the refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5 will have to offer, with these latest spy photos confirming that earlier report.
Outside, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 will introduce new front fascia styling highlighted by restyled headlamps and revisions to the lower front grille that will change the current model’s “semi-smiley” appearance. This prototype is equipped with placeholder headlamps.
The profile and rear will remain unchanged, with the C-pillar “kink” carrying over for the 2024 model year. That said, sources familiar with the matter previously informed GM Authority that product planners and designers were considering new graphics for the tail lamps, although the tail lamps on this particular prototype are clearly carryovers.
It’s also worth noting that this particular model is the Sport trim level, with a set of 19-inch alloy wheels with a Satin Graphite finish (RPO code 57M) mounted in the corners. There will be no refresh for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing models.
Although these photos don’t capture the interior, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5 will get an overhauled cockpit as well, similar to the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4. As GM Authority reported previously, the refreshed XT4 will introduce a wide curved display that combines the instrument cluster and infotainment screen, as well as a revised center stack.
As for what’s under the hood, the current Cadillac CT5 is offered with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, plus the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine. Meanwhile, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing runs the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. Under the body panels, all Cadillac CT5 variants ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, with production for the North American market taking place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Good to see an up-date for the CT5, the CT4 needs an up-date as well, it is getting a bit long in the tooth as well. Gone are the years when American cars had grille, headlights, tail-lights front and rear bumpers changed for the annual model year change, some auto companies even changed the sheet metal and roof pillars each year, look at the 1950s, 1960s 1970s american cars. Now, may be a badge change, or color change every five years, now that people are being forced into those square, bad handling, non aerodynamic slow things called SUVs, i guess we will never have a automobile industry like before.
You would think the CT4 will get the same style upgrades as the CT5, as least for the dash.
Long in the tooth! The cars are just a few years old. 🤣🤣🤣
That person has no clue about the Cadillac line up past & present, probably thinks they are still making the CTS models 😆
just a few years old, the CT5 should have had four refresh designs by now, big style changes each year, not just a headlight change after four years, like what is written above, major refresh annually so we can buy new cars each year to put in our drive way, not one design that lasts sixteen years like challenger.
I have a 2022 CT5V WITH SUPERCRUISE. Truly amazing car. All sport and performance when I want it and drives itself when I choose. Everyone who gets in this car is impressed. Sad to see it go after this refresh.
The ct5 v6 needs more power/performance. It lacks against the market.
Went from 2018 s5 to a 21 ct5v and was a downgrade on the motor department.
Handling and transmission was on par.
Picked up a ct4 bw and the performance is there but now had to give up awd!
Increase the HP to 375 with the 405 lb. Torque to be more competitive with the high end German made cars. Add multi color ambient lighting!
Both Blackwings need a refresh on the dash and interior. Seat gap is annoying, phone falls and gets stuck all the time, there’s no color changing ambient lighting, there should definitely be an extended display panel (not to mention iCue sucks and PDR is only limited to 16 or 32GB (unbelievable). Main issues with the car is the technology, it’s way too outdated in comparison to other cars.
