The 2023 GMC Acadia is the seventh model year for the crossover’s latest second generation, debuting only a few small updates and changes compared to the preceding 2022 model year. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2023 GMC Acadia with the following GM Authority towing capacity spec breakdown.
Under the hood, the 2023 GMC Acadia can be had with one of two powertrain options, starting with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine. Output from the 2.0L I4 LSY is rated at 228 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Customers can also upgrade to the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Both engine options connect to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive offered to put the power down.
Critically, the 2023 GMC Acadia one again offers the optional Trailering Equipment Package as well. Tagged with RPO code V92, the Trailering Equipment Package adds in a bevy of equipment, including (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Factory-installed hitch
- 7-pin wiring harness
- Class III hitch
- Heavy-duty cooling system (V08)
- 170-amp alternator (KW7)
