The 2023 Chevy Traverse is the sixth model year of the current second-gen crossover, introducing only a handful of changes and updates compared to the refreshed 2022 model year. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2023 Chevy Traverse towing capacities in the following GM Authority spec breakdown.
Let’s begin by taking a peek under the hood, where we find the 2023 Chevy Traverse is equipped with the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine as standard. Output is rated at a maximum of 310 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm, all of which is directed through the GM 9-speed automatic transmission. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available to put the power down.
Customers interested in the 2023 Chevy Traverse towing capacities will also be interested to know that the crossover is offered with the optional Trailering Equipment Package (RPO code V92), which increases the max trailer weight rating and includes a heavy-duty cooling system (RPO code V08), a trailer hitch, and the Hitch Guidance system (RPO code CTT). When ordered with 2023 Chevy Traverse LT Cloth FWD models equipped with the Convenience and Driver Confidence Package (RPO code ZL3), the optional Trailering Equipment Package also includes Hitch Guidance with Hitch View (RPO code PZ8).
So then, with all that covered, let’s take a closer look at the 2023 Chevy Traverse towing capacities:
