However, just before the Sierra EV’s reveal, livestream video shopping platform NTWRK will kick off its Day of Drops event in partnership with GMC. A selection of rare and interesting items will be available for purchase online, including GMC branded gear and collectables.
Among those items will be the Van Moof E-Bike, created by fashion designer Dao-Yi Chow. This one-of-one bike will be listed at $1,000 and includes an electric motor in addition to a 504 Wh battery pack, providing a riding range of 37 to 93 miles. It also features an integrated automatic four-speed hub, hydraulic disk brakes, 28-inch wheels, GSM and Bluetooth theft tracking, LED lighting, keyless lock and unlock, as well as red-on-black GMC branding.
There’s also a custom Berghoff tabletop BBQ, which will be listed at $299. Made from powder-coated steel, it uses charcoal or wood, it’s quick to set up and fold down, it includes a carrying strap and silicone handles, and it’s complemented by a laser-etched GMC Sierra EV inscription on top. “For the man who dry-ages his own steaks, this is a perfect new companion that can travel anywhere,” according to the product description. “This tabletop BBQ will take any adventure or gathering to the next level.”
A custom Shinola three-in-one travel bag will be up for grabs as well, unveiled by Toronto Maple Leafs’ forward Auston Matthews. Made of water-resistant canvas and Italian Vachetta leather, it features a geometric mountain pattern representing the 2024 GMC Sierra EV’s styling, in which there’s an AM 34 inscription representing Matthews’ initials and jersey number. Four of these bags will be available at $340 apiece. “I’m excited to be collaborating with GMC and NTWRK on this exclusive garment bag, it is a great way to travel in style,” said Auston Matthews.
Other items include a Hoop Dream Studios custom basketball hoops, [email protected] collectible figurines signed by Andy Warhol with prices ranging between $150 and $670, bronze Nike sneakers, unique artwork and books.
As for the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali, it will be revealed on October 20th at 5 PM EST, after the start of the Day of Drops event on NTWRK. Reservations will initially open for the limited-run Denali Edition 1, which will be available in early 2024. It will be followed by the Sierra EV Denali and, eventually, more affordable trim levels as well.
As with the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV, in addition to the Chevy Silverado EV, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV will be built on GM’S BT1 platform and will use Ultium battery and Ultium Drive motors for motivation. The electric Sierra is expected to be built at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
