Chevrolet Trax Pricing

For reference, here are the 2022 Chevy Trax trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including $1,195 destination freight charges, with 2021 pricing carried over to the 2022 model year:

  • LS – $22,595
  • LT – $24,395

The Chevy Trax saw minor changes and updates for the 2022 model year.

Back in March, GM Authority exclusively reported that GM was dropping the Chevy Trax from its lineup after the 2022 model year, but the automaker subsequently confirmed it would release an all-new Chevy Trax later this year. GM finally debuted the next-generation 2024 Chevy Trax earlier this month as Chevy’s new entry-level crossover.

Outside, the 2024 Chevy Trax incorporates the Bow Tie brand’s latest ICE-based design language, taking after the Chevy Blazer crossover. The latest Trax boasts new exterior dimensions that are longer, lower, and wider than the preceding model. Up front is a set of LED headlamps, while the five trim levels on offer – LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ – each include their own unique styling bits, from wheels to grille treatments.

Inside, the new 2024 Trax is roomier than the preceding model, and offers more safety features and tech, including six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies via Chevy Safety Assist, and a standard 8-inch diagonal infotainment screen. LT, 2RS, and Activ trims get an 11-inch screen. Further onboard tech includes Active Noise Cancelation and cruise control, while Adaptive Cruise Control is offered on most trims.

As for the power spec, the 2024 Trax is motivated by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, the same powerplant found in the Chevy Trailblazer LS and LT trim levels. Output is rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque and paired to the GM six-speed automatic transmission. Only front-wheel drive is available while the outgoing model offers an all-wheel-drive option.

Pricing for the 2024 Chevy Trax starts at $21,495 for the base-level LS, rising as high as $24,995 for the 2RS and Activ trim levels, destination freight charge included. Notably, the new upcoming model costs less than a current 2022 Chevy Trax.
