National inventory for the Chevy Trailblazer crossover was running at eight days supply as of the beginning of October, GM Authority has learned from sources familiar with GM’s inventory situation. A 60-day supply is considered optimal in the U.S. auto industry.
The eight-day supply is an improvement over last month with five days in early September, which was a bump up from two months before that with three days in early July.
In terms of sales, the Chevy Trailblazer sold 41,932 units during the first three quarters of the year, down 43 percent to place seventh with a six percent share in the mainstream subcompact crossover segment when ranked by sales volume.
The Honda HR-V took the top spot in the segment with 92,555 units sold through Q3 2022, despite a 12 percent decline in sales, while the Jeep Compass placed second with a 15 percent bump to 66,966 units, followed by the VW Taos in third with a 160 percent leap to 46,835 units.

The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer was the most-affordable 2023 model-year GM vehicle available to order in the U.S. following the departure of the current Chevy Spark hatchback. But while GM was also set to drop the small Chevy Trax crossover from its lineup after the 2022 model year, the automaker subsequently confirmed it would release an all-new Chevy Trax later this year. It finally debuted the next-generation 2024 Chevy Trax earlier this month as Chevy’s new entry-level crossover.
Pricing for the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer LS starts at $22,995, including the mandatory destination and freight charge, while pricing for the 2024 Chevy Trax LS starts at $21,495, coming in $1,500 cheaper than its slightly larger sibling. Notably, the new 2023 Trax costs less than the current, outgoing 2022 model.
To help meet strong demand, GM added 6,000 units to the Chevy Trailblazer production schedule at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea, which supplies units of the crossover for the North American market. The majority of that production will go toward the latest 2023 model year.
Under the hood, the Chevy Trailblazer offers the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, as well as the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine. The GM VSS-F vehicle set provides the underpinnings.

What a shame that GM continues to give this market away, The issue with the TB isthere has been virtually 0 inventory on the dealer lots for most of calendar year 2022 in this part of the country
I find it hard to accept that GM is introducing another small cross over built in the same plants on the same chassis as the TB, and i will go on record right now and say they will not have inventory of the new Trax either
wow , the TB and the Encore GX would dominate the market if they had product to sell.
GM cant produce the Trailblazer in enough quantities as it is badly constrained by chip and other supply shortages. Chevy dealers sell them as fast as they get them, GM prioritizing high profit vehicles.
I work in a store. High end models have not been prioritized. I have seen mostly low optioned LT and RS models.
