The 2023 Chevy Bolt EV gets a new illuminated charge port as a standalone option.
GM is planning to build 70,000 new Chevy Bolts next year. The automaker will boost Bolt production for global markets to 70,000 units in 2023 from roughly 44,000 units for 2022.

But the dealerships are adding $5000 “market adjustment”. Good job at giving the stealerships more money and power then bragging about having the cheapest EV available.
Typical car scam
LOL, no thanks.
I would never buy an EV that the battery only gives you half the battery life in COLD weather. Sounds like they aren’t selling so well and are trying to give them away. They are too small also.
Obviously he’s been on the outside, there’s more room interior than any others of that size.
Good luck. I’ve called every dealer within 100 miles and NONE have one to sell and quite frankly don’t care about me buying one.
I have had my 2023 Bolt EV since August 8th and currently have 1,100 miles on it. This is my 3rd Bolt. My 2019 Bolt was great, not one red cent spent on anything as I am fortunate to work for a company that provides free charging. Alas, gm wanted my 2019 with the Korean manufactured battery and gave me one of the November built 2022 models. That 2022 Bolt was real crap but at least gm honored their obligations and exchanged it for my current 2023. The 2023 has every available option except for the lighted charge port.
Yes, there is a mileage reduction in cold weather. My driving style provides 300 miles of range in temperatures over 65 degrees and I estimate 180-190 miles per charge when the temperatures drop below 30 degrees. You learn to anticipate and charge 3 times every two weeks when it is cold. In my case the Bolt is great. In your circumstance it may not work. Good luck finding one if you want to go EV.
Reply to Bob Montgomery’s: I called about six different dealerships and nobody had one in stock in the grand Rapids area that includes Greenville, Cedar Springs, Sparta, and Grand Rapids. We put $1000 down but the car hasn’t even been ordered yet and this was back in August. I’m not interested in a 2022 Chevy bolt EUV but it is a goodbye. Hopefully production will pick up on the 2023 and we may get and get a notification for our order in before New Year’s and then 3 to 5 months for production.
i bought a 2022 Bolt EUV Premier for $36k out the door with the discount. Yes, it helps to find a dealer that doesn’t add a markup. In Hawaii, Servco sells Chevy and Toyota vehicles without dealer markups.
I really like my Bolt!
Just remember to park it outside so it does not burn down your house when the battery catches fire. Going from 44,000 units to 70,000 will inevitably cause that marginal GM quality to slide further. I’ll pass.
Yeah $5900 off and 5900 back on for market adjustment excuse to Jack price up but car dealerships omit that on purpose . Isn’t that error by omission which is a form of fraud ?
The Chevy Bolt can also be charged at home for free using new pv4evs, off grid, solar charging technology.
I bought a 2022 Bolt & they really gave me the almost $6000 off with no mark ups. One of my best car decisions ever! We all burn more fuel in cold weather so that does not bother me and performance is great, the complementary home charger was excellent & it’s wonderful to pass gas stations & gas stress each time!
Obviously he’s been on the outside, there’s more room interior than any others of that size.
Ppl complaining about EVs getting less mileage in cold weather obviously aren’t paying attention to the MPGs their gas powered cars get in cold weather, lol
I ordered a Bolt EUV over four months ago and am still waiting for a date when GM will start production of my order. GM continues to promote the Bolt while knowing there are none available in dealerships and clueless about how long a buyer will have to wait to actually receive one.
I worked at the number one Chevy dealer in the world for a couple years, and everyone from the managers to the mechanics and the sales people all hate electric vehicles. I’m not sure how Chevy’s going to pull this off when the staff isn’t even interested in electric cars. And I know that most of America is wondering why this big push for electric when we don’t even have the electricity to power them up. America is heading for a very high cliff in a few years.
Bunch of negative Nancy’s
..my 2019 has 70,000 miles it gets 240 miles cruzing at 70 mph in town 275 to 300 maybe its me ..but it’s a great car
