GM revealed the GMC Sierra EV earlier this month. The all-electric pickup will be GMC’s volume player in the nascent, but rapidly-growing electric vehicle space, joining the Hummer EV models as well as the Chevy Silverado EV in GM’s EV expanding portfolio.
Today, we’re taking a closer look at the 2025 GMC Sierra EV AT4 in the following GM Authority spotlight.
Form top to bottom, the 2025 GMC Sierra EV lineup that has been announced thus far consists of Elevation, AT4 and Denali. The Sierra EV AT4 trim level slots right in the middle of the lineup, offering a healthy combination of off-road ability, heavy duty capability, and luxury.
On the exterior, the Sierra EV AT4 features an eTrunk with power operated hood, red tow (recovery) hooks, GMC MultiPro Tailgate, and spray-on bedliner. The all-electric truck is also available with a GMC MultiPro MidGate and a panoramic fixed glass roof. Crabwalk, four-wheel-steering, and Terrain Mode help the Sierra EV AT4 in off-road endeavors, as well as 18-inch wheels with 35-inch all-terrain tires and an additional two inches of ground clearance compared to the Sierra EV Elevation trim.
On the inside, the Sierra EV AT4 gets a 16.8-inch diagonal center touchscreen. Safety features include high definition Surround Vision and Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistant. The EV pickup is also available with a 800-volt Fast Charge system and Power Station Pro.
Under the skin, the 2025 Sierra EV AT4 is based on the same narrow track variant of the GM BT1 platform as the Chevy Silverado EV. The Hummer EV SUV and Hummer EV Pickup share the same architecture, albeit modified for a wide track configuration. The all-new 2024 GMC Sierra EV is powered by the Ultium battery pack and Ultium Drive motor technology. Output and range for the AT4 have yet to be revealed, but the range-topping Denali Edition 1 trim is rated at 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in Max Power mode, on to an official estimated range of 400 miles on a full charge.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV AT4 and Elevation will be introduced after the Denali Edition 1, which itself launches early in the 2024 model year. Pricing for the GMC Sierra EV line will start around $50,000, while the Denali Edition 1 will come in at $107,000.
Production will begin at at the GM Factory Zero plant, previously known as the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant in Michigan. Thereafter, the GM Lake Orion plant, also in Michigan will also assemble the electric truck.

So they can put 35’s on an EV AT4 but not a regular 1500 AT4? Everyone who has owned a Trail Boss/AT4 knows that 35’s fit a stock setup and the stock 33’s are too small.
Betchya’ they are Load Range “D” or maybe even “E” to handle the additional battery-weight of this thing. Also needed to haul the weight of the large, gas-powered generator owners will need that get way out in the Boonies ! Of course, most of these things will never know dirt under their tires. Putting 33’s on an AT truck reminds me of the tiny little 215’s GM used to use as OEM on their dually one tons. LOL
No generator needed. Are you going to drive 400 miles in the boonies? I doubt it. Perfect truck to not pollute the forests.
There is no way it will make 400 off road miles in the boonies! It will be lucky to get half that range!
They are load range E
Buying out my 2021 Sierra not interested in electric and with the increasing prices of new trucks becoming unaffordable.
OH MY GOSH, that is FUgly!
It’s a truck. No truck is going to win a beauty contest, but it’s not bad looking for a truck.
All pickup trucks are ugly, so what. Trucks are made for work not for beauty pageants.
Damn…that is a lot of horsepower..you would need a 4×4 in the snow or getting stuck will become the norm. I wouldn’t mind one for snow plowing..save me $100 a day in gas..and I can write it off,
Rivian called, they want their R1T back…
Simply fantastic! We want GMC in Brazil too !!!!
Hope you have nice friends to come get you in the mud or boonies when the battery dies or shorts out!
Wow! Big words but no action. You like to hide don’t you?
Yugo (no) a POS Yugoslavian car. Good for the dumpster. Yes I had a Subaru. A 1997 Legend wagon 5 speed manual AWD. I bought it in January 2011 for $800. I was the 4th owner. It was well treated during its life and the only issue I had with it was replacing the rear brake line which a friend of mine and I did one afternoon ( cost $8 for the metal line and 1 1/2 hour of time). That’s the only issue I had with the car during the 5 years I had it. It was sent to scrap in 2016 because the timing chain died. Too expensive to repair. I did get $300 from the scrap yard.
As for the ebike, these are meant for lazy people. I have hand built bikes because I raced for 25 years here in Canada and the US. I have purchased a Bolt which I am waiting for. No loan necessary. Not worried about the battery because it will outlive the car. When the battery goes it will go to recycling and probably made into another battery. I lived all my life with a positive attitude unlike your negativity.
The AT4 looks much more sophisticated than the Images and short video GM had of the Silverado Trail Boss….That looked to have a very cheap looking Plastic so called Fake Grill. This AT4 looks much better.
Beautiful truck! Hope it is available in 2024.
