GM pulled the sheets off the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado in July, revealing the latest third generation of the midsize pickup truck. Updates include new exterior styling, an overhauled interior, a revised platform, a new powertrain lineup, new safety features, and a new exterior paint color palette. Today, we get to see one of these new colors, Sterling Gray Metallic, on a 2023 Colorado LT.
GM Authority has captured these exclusive photos of the 2023 Chevy Colorado in the Sterling Gray Metallic (color code GXD). The unit seen here sports halogen headlamps and taillights, along with a set of fog lamps. The side mirrors feature body-color caps and door handles. The entire ensemble rides on 18-inch wheels. It also appears to be equipped with 4WD, as per the 4×4 sticker on the bedside.
The 2023 Colorado LT is equipped with the Black Interior upholstery, a Premium Wrapped Steering Wheel, power Express-Up/Down Window for the driver and Express Down feature for the rest of the windows. Front and Rear Floor mats are standard for the new Chevy Colorado LT. On the tech side, the LT is equipped with the Safety Package, Technology Package, Convenience Packages (I, II, and III), and the Advanced Trailering Package, all as available options.
All 2023 Chevy Colorado trim levels are powered by one of three variants of the turbocharged 2.7L I4 gasoline engine, depending on the trim level selected. The new Chevy Colorado LT gets the “base” 2.7L I-4 L2R Turbo tune as standard, rated at 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque (max trailering rating of 3,500 pounds), while the mid-range 2.7L Turbo Plus tune is optional, offering up 310 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque (max trailering rating of 7,700 pounds). The second-generation GM eight-speed automatic transmission provides the cog swaps. The high-output variant is rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
Look for the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado to launch in the first half of the 2023 calendar year, with production set to once again take place at the GM Wentzville plant located in Missouri.

Love the design. Simple. Looks like a tough little truck. The taillights are a nice homage to the 1980s S-10, but carry the styling forward with some a Silverado treatment at the leading edges. This truck is going to do well.
I really like the new design. I’ve heard the gas mileage is not very good on the 2.7. They need to average 20mpg and 25 on the ighway to be successful. I hope they’ve resolved the transmission issues with some of the 8 speed transmissions.
the gas mileage should be better than the current V6 but not sure it will be, my buddy has a 1500 with this 2.7 turbo and it is NOT getting the mileage it should for a damn 4 banger, 20 /21 average. Where are the hybird trucks??? at least RAM tries with their e1500 ‘s…
Isn’t that amazing. The only way you’re gonna save any gas with A4T is if you puppy it around town. You are saving 3 large on the upfront price, But I am sure you’re gonna lose that and more when you decide to sell.
The silver gm used for years was popular.
would like to see what it looks like on a vehicle,
Kinda underwhelming from these pic’s ….. with just about all the press being given to the up level trims (ZR1/2/trailboss) it’s made me aware just how plain it looks outside when compared to the off road versions?. I’m sure this is exactly what GM wants to do to customers like me, see the fancy/cool up level trucks and order the more expensive versions? As I own a 2015 3.6 Colly now, I’ll tend to overlook the blandness of the LT and still order it. For me, the 2.7 7700 LB towing is the big attraction along with the upgraded interior being a big plus.
WOW – Another gray shade among the sea of gray, black and silver uglies out there. PERFECT for funerals. Good grief – when will it end. Not to mention the brain numbing white and black
About time we saw a honest to goodness plain LT trim. Looks good to me, it shares the same sharp design theme of the other trims. Now only the WT is left to be revealed.
Halogen headlights should not be used on anything in 2023 only only LED come on Chevrolet
No V6…..No go. Sure 4 cylinder may perform same specs……but definitely wont last as long. Lease only vehicle at this point.
The front of the base, tb, and lt without the upgrades look so so dated already. This truck could have been around in 2015.
Tell me they will make a 6 foot plus bed, after rollout. I will cancel my 2022 order now! I can’t deal with 5 foot. 6 is short enough.
Needs an extended cab body and a 6′ bed option. I wonder if there will be an optional chrome exterior option for the bumpers and window sweep moldings.
