The 2023 Chevy Camaro drops in as the eighth model year of the sixth-generation sports car, introducing a number of changes and updates compared to the preceding 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2023 Chevy Camaro is once again available to order with three door accent trim kits that were previously unavailable.
For those readers who may have missed it, GM Authority reported in June that the 2023 Chevy Camaro was unavailable to order with the following door accent trim kits (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Black door accent trim (WGT)
- Red door accent trim (WGK)
- White door accent trim (VTG)
Now, according to sources familiar with the matter, these three door accent trim kits are once again available to order for the 2023 Chevy Camaro. The three door accent trim kits are offered as optional for 2023 Chevy Camaro LS, 1LT, 2LT, LT1, and 1SS trim levels, including both the Coupe and Convertible body styles. To note, the Chevy Camaro Convertible is not available in the LS trim level. The three door accent trim kits listed above are not offered for 3LT, 2SS, or ZL1 trim levels.
The Black and Red door accent trim kits are priced at $400, while the White door accent trim kit is $415.
As GM Authority covered previously, several other options for the 2023 Chevy Camaro that were previously unavailable are once again back on the options list, including the Redline Edition Package and the Satin Black Front Splitter / Side Rockers Package (RPO code PCR).
The 2023 Chevy Camaro is one of the last model years for the current sixth-generation vehicle. Powertrain options include the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LTG gasoline engine, the atmospheric 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, the atmospheric 6.2L V8 LT1 gasoline engine, and finally, the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. Under the skin is the GM Alpha platform, with production taking place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
