The 2023 Chevy Blazer brings a mid-cycle refresh for the mid-size crossover, including updated exterior styling along with small updates to the interior, headlined by a larger infotainment screen. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2023 Chevy Blazer is now offered with yet another appearance package called Black Sport Package.
Assigned RPO Code RFP, the new Black Sport Package is offered on the 2LT, 3LT and Premier trim levels and is an LPO or dealer-installed option. Currently, it is not offered on the Blazer RS trim.
Priced at $3,450, the Black Sport Package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- 20-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, LPO (S1S)
- Black mesh grille with Black header bar, LPO (SJA)
- Bodyside fender hash decal, Bow Tie theme, LPO (5KA)
- Gloss Black emblem kit, LPO (RIK)
- Black front and rear Bow Ties (B94)
This package is very similar to the Arctic Package 1 (RGC) we reported on earlier this month. However, unlike the RGC package, the Black Sport Package (RFP) can be matched to any exterior color.
Also note that, while new for the 2023 Chevy Blazer, the Black Sport Package is currently unavailable to order.
As a reminder, the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer provides revisions to the front fascia, which include reworked LED daytime running lamps, a new grille design, as well as new wheel designs. Out back, the Blazer features revised taillights.
The interior was updated to include a new Jet Black / Nightshift Blue colorway, a standard ten-inch diagonal color touchscreen, the inclusion of the Chevy Assist package as standard, and an optional wireless smartphone charging pad.
Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Blazer features the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as well as the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.
Under the skin, the 2023 Chevy Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

These black out packages make your nice new car look like crap!
“……Also note that, while new for the 2023 Chevy Blazer, the Black Sport Package is currently unavailable to order.”
Here’s the new XXXXX Package for the (Insert car or truck name here) for 2023.
It is unavailable to order as all order books are closed.
The RS Traverse is blacked out and adding hash marks on side didn’t cost me $3,400 ! Crazy prices for socialist times.
I wouldn’t mind an Equinox EV that looks like this! Seems like Chevy demoted the Blazer ICE design to the Equinox EV and I’d certainly welcome an EV with these colors and design.
$3450 for this package?!? For blacked out rims and trim??? Completely nuts…
Holy smokes 3450 to ruin the looks of this vehicle and make it look like a cheaper low trim level. Totally nuts that people keep falling for these money grabs
How about doing something about that ugly gray at the front and back bumpers that stands out like a sore thumb
Is that a chrome strip above the blacked out grille ? I also agree with TRUTH about that gray along bottom panels in both front and back. Why make that gray stick out or make customer pay to have it blacked out.
Cool looking package! The people who are upset with the price don’t understand the concept of supply line issues, and inflation. The price will decrease overtime, AND with special offers. It’s about $3,450, but it will go down overtime, to probably $2,450 or even $1,450.
My wife does not like the two-tone roof of the 23 Blazer RS but likes the other black features. The Black Sports Package is still not available to add to a Premier trim. Has there been any word as to when the package will be made available? I understand how supply line issues could be the culprit but just wondering how long she will have to wait.
