2023 Cadillac Escalade-V Officially Launches In Mexico

Following the arrival of Cadillac‘s first V-badged SUV at dealerships in the United States and Canada this past summer, General Motors is now officially launching the all-new 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V in Mexico.

The automaker just unveiled the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V for the first time in Mexico, anticipating the arrival of the industry’s most powerful luxury SUV in the Latin country before the end of this year. In addition to being the first high-performance utility vehicle in Cadillac history, the Escalade-V is the first V-badged vehicle to launch in the Mexican market since the Cadillac CTS-V in 2015.

“Escalade-V is our most amazing and powerful SUV, and Cadillac managed to do the extraordinary, the sensational,” said Marketing Manager for luxury brands at GM Mexico, Ángel Pacheco, in an official statement. “Our engineering team put a great deal of focus and talent into designing it,” he added.

In particular, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V gets to continue the legacy of Cadillac’s high-performance sub-brand in Mexico by establishing a new level of refinement and exclusivity in the brand, combined with the highest power in its category. The exterior design features an aggressive appearance with a specific front end, a more aerodynamic trim set, quad black exhaust tips and unique 22-inch wheels.

Naturally, the highlight of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is the adoption of the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine that develops a massive output of 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. With the help of the vehicle’s launch control feature, the Escalade-V is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.4 seconds.

The new 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will be available for sale in Mexico starting in December, when it is scheduled to arrive at the brand’s official dealer network in the country in regular-size and long-wheelbase ESV variants. Both versions will offer all the technological and safety features currently available on the nameplate. Here are the prices of the 2023 Escalade-V in Mexico:

  • 2023 Escalade-V: 3,166,400 MXN (about $159,380 at the current exchange rate)
  • 2023 Escalade-V ESV: 3,297,900 MXN ($165,980)

  1. The cartels will love this!

  2. The thing is, that just as any other country that has laws and tries by all means to not have / minimize tax evaders, the cartels cannot go and buy the Escalade and pay cash. Like in the US, I believe Mexico has a ~$10,000 USD limit for transactions in cash mostly affecting vehicle purchases. Above that, you have to use a traceable document (check, debit card, credit card or else).
This is why they “hi-jack”, assault or abduct the owners of such vehicles. Many “undercover reporters” have brought up the topic of vehicles in the cartels and the answer by far is that their favorite is any GM SUV that really goes, from the Blazer to the Escalade…yes it is ironic

  3. I submitted a request to Cadillac to offer the 60 / 40 split bench seat as a seating option in the front of Escalades besides the standard bucket seats and center console. I have a GMC Suburban with the large 60 / 40 split front bench seat and it’s roomy and comfortable with lots of wiggle room. I submitted this request through the Cadillac website and they assigned case number 9-8537502626, to this suggestion.

For those desiring the 60 / 40 split bench seat in the front of Escalades, I suggest you do the same. This will hopefully move Cadillac to consider this optional front seat in Escalades.
