Costco Canada members can receive a $750 bonus on the purchase or lease of select Buick Enclave and Buick Encore GX crossover models through the U.S. retail giant’s fall GM promotion.
This limited-time savings event, which runs from September 1st through to November 30th, includes a $750 allowance toward the purchase or lease of new 2022 and 2023 in-stock Buick crossover models, including the Encore GX and Enclave. To receive the member-only bonus, Costco Canada members need to register at CostcoAuto.ca for a savings certificate and must have been a member before August 31st, 2022. The $750 certificate can be used at any Buick dealer in Canada.
Jay Woodcock, Costco Auto Program general manager, said this ongoing retail promotion with GM Canada helps deliver an attractive discount to the automaker’s customer base at a time when incentive spending is at an all-time low in the industry.
“We know finding incentives on a new vehicle is more difficult than before,” he said in a statement. “This promotion with General Motors Canada provides an additional $750 value on vehicles Costco members seek most.”
The average transaction price of a new Buick vehicle stood at $38,214 in July of this year, up 5.8 percent year-over-year from $36,111 and up 2.9 percent from $37,131 in June of this year. Rising transaction prices in the industry can be attributed to low incentive spending driven by high demand, as well as inflation.
A minor catch with this Costco Canada promotion is it only applies to in-stock vehicles, and certain models can be hard to come by on dealer lots, or may only be offered in limited trim levels or specifications at the moment. That means consumers looking to capitalize on this deal may need to compromise on their vehicle’s trim, color or equipment, as they will be relegated to what’s already in stock.
