The Chevy Tahoe has received a 2022 Total Quality Award from consulting and advisory company Strategic Vision. The Total Quality Awards are based on the company’s Total Quality Impact Report.
Strategic Vision recently released the 28th edition of its annual Total Quality Impact Report, detailing customer evaluations for new vehicles across a broad range of segments. The latest version of the report is based on the most recent Strategic Vision New Vehicle Experience Study, which includes survey responses from 112,078 new vehicle buyers, as collected after 90 days of ownership.
The study looked at a variety of different factors, including the impact of problems with the vehicle, as well as driver’s analytical and emotional evaluations. Both tangible and intangible vehicle qualities were considered, such as seat comfort, ease of use for the infotainment, sideview mirror efficacy, and how the vehicle feels in a corner, as well as how strongly a customer feels about their new vehicle and the likelihood the customer will advocate for the brand.
From these survey responses, Strategic Vision then calculated a Total Quality Impact score, which is leveraged to identify winning vehicles for a wide range of segments. Taking top honors in the Full-Size Utility segment is the Chevy Tahoe with a total score of 661 points.
Notably, the Chevy Tahoe was joined by the GMC Sierra HD as another a Total Quality Award winner, taking the top spot in the Heavy Duty Pickup segment with 585 points. The organization included the GMC Sierra 2500HD and GMC Sierra 3500HD under the GMC Sierra HD nameplate for evaluation purposes. Other notable GM vehicles recognized with a 2022 Total Quality Award include the GMC Acadia.
The vehicle with the highest overall score in the 2022 Total Quality Awards was the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, which managed to take the win in the Luxury CUV category with 692 points. Meanwhile, the Kia Carnival was the award winner with the lowest overall score, taking the top spot in the Minivan category with 521 points.
