Chevy Product Unveiling Scheduled For Detroit Auto Show

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), also known as the Detroit Auto Show, is set to kick off next week, and Chevy will be there to unveil a new product.

At present, it’s uncertain exactly what this forthcoming Chevy product reveal will entail. That said, the Bow Tie brand will undoubtedly drop a few hints over the course of the next few days.

That said, we can certainly speculate as to what this forthcoming Chevy product unveiling will be. One possibility is the Chevy Equinox EV, a new all-electric crossover that debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, but has yet to get a full reveal in terms of specs, interior, and the like. Another possibility is the all-new 2023 Chevy Trax, an affordable ICE-based crossover, or the refreshed 2024 Chevy Silverado HD heavy-duty pickup. GM may also unveil a 2024 Chevy Camaro special-edition “farewell” package intended to mark the departure of the current sixth-generation sports car.

There’s also a few other possibilities worth mentioning here, albeit less likely than those mentioned above. The less-likely possibilities include the Chevy Corvette E-Ray, the upcoming hybrid electric variant of the current eighth-generation sports car, as well as the Chevy Seeker, a crossover model sold in China which may or may not make its way stateside.

Whatever the new Chevy product will be, the upcoming Detroit Auto Show reveal is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th, set as the official NAIAS media day. In addition to the media day, the show will also host the Industry Tech Days / Automobili-D event between Setember 14th and 15th, followed by a Charity Preview on September 16th. The show will be open to the public between September 17th and September 25th.

  4. I think we will see the announcement of the Seeker and this will be built in south Korea. This vehicle has been spotted many times testing in the USA on the streets , and it makes sense. This vehicle is close enough in size and could take some of the current ICE Equinox volume . From a styling point of view it fits very well with the current Trailblazer and the larger Blazer. The Equinox EV is scheduled to launch as a 24 , and so the current ICE Equinox will be 7 model years old so it will likely be replaced with EV only leaving the gap for the Seeker
The Seeker has the latest chevy crossover styling, the updated and more powerful 1.5L, a CVT, AWD as an option. and the latest infotainment and technology so it would be a great fit in the NA chevy lineup
It also hits on all of the key items customers want in this fast growing segment, style, efficiency, size, and the latest technology.
It will be a hit but only if Chevy can supply product to meet the demand

    1. I think you may be right. And yes, the Seeker will be a key player in the compact crossover segment in NA. GM may have problems satisfying demand for this crossover because of it’s bang for the buck potential.

      1. I would certainly entertain this as a replacement for our 2020 Nox 2.0l AWD. My wife would very much like the tidier size . It would be a great companion to my planned 23 Colarado Z71.
I like the direction chevy is going , but only wish they could amp up production

  5. I would assume it will be a Special Edition Camaro to try and take some thunder away from Mustang

  6. The only way a Camaro can take some thunder from the Mustang is with an electric Camaro to compete against the Mach-E .

  7. Aren’t the HD trucks normally revealed at the Texas State Fair?

    Reply
    1. I don’t know about that but remember the HD models are built in Michigan so a home state reveal would be understandable. They’re also built in neighbouring Oshawa, Ontario. Time will tell.
