Mercedes-Benz just pulled the sheets on the new 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance, offered as a go-fast luxury sedan to rival the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
The main party piece in the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance is the hybrid powertrain, which takes its inspiration from Merc’s Formula 1 program. The hybrid system starts with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 M139I gasoline engine, which is mounted up front and throws down with 469 horsepower. The gasoline engine is joined by an electric motor at the rear that’s juiced by a 400-volt battery, with combined output from the gasoline engine and electric motor ringing to the tune of 671 horsepower and 752 pound-feet of torque. Properly applied, it’s enough to send the sedan from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.3 seconds.
All that output is directed through the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. Highlight features also include an active rear axle steering system, a Drift Mode setting, and the AMG Ride Control suspension with Adaptive Damping System to keep it under control.
Aesthetically speaking, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance is more aggressive than the standard C-Class. It’s also physically larger, with overall length extended by 3.3 inches, the wheelbase extended by 0.4 inches, and overall width extended by 3 inches. Up front, there’s an AMG-specific grille, while in the corners you’ll find 19-inch alloy wheels with staggered tire sizing as standard. Larger 20-inch wheels are optional.
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance is equipped with AMG sport seats, while the MBUX infotainment couples a horizontally oriented digital display behind the flat-bottom steering wheel with a vertically oriented digital screen in the center of the dash. Also notice the rounded climate control vents.
Mercedes-Benz has yet to reveal pricing or when the new 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance will go on sale.

Dont they know no one wants cars only SUV’s!!! Has CT5 cancellation been announced yet?
There are already enough ugly cookie cutter SUVs, and at least actual cars have more style and identity. I’d take the CT5-V Blackwing over the Merc, Audi, Jag and BMW.
Mercedes naming conventions make Cadillacs look clear
No matter what the Benz party does, their cars sound like a muffled fart!
