2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Configurator Live

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 introduces several important updates and changes compared to the preceding 2022 model year, and now, interested fans and potential customers can spec the pickup as they see fit via the official online configurator at GMC’s website.

As GM Authority exclusively covered in August, pricing for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 has increased across the trim level range as compared to the preceding 2022 model year, with starting MSRPs rising between $900 and $1,900, depending on the trim level selected.

As such, the least-expensive 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 on offer, specifically the Sierra Pro in the Regular Cab / Standard Box body configuration with rear-wheel drive and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, is now priced at $40,020. Meanwhile, the most-expensive 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 on offer, specifically the Denali Ultimate in a Crew Cab / Short Box body configuration with four-wheel drive and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, is now priced at $83,695. Note that prices include a destination freight charge (DFC) of $1,795.

Arriving later in the model year, the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 also introduces the new AT4X AEV Edition, which elevates the light-duty pickup with even more off-roading goodness thanks to development input from American Expedition Vehicles. Standout upgrades include new stamped steel bumpers, skid plates, unique 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, and more. Looking ahead, the “regular” 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X (or rather, non-AEV Edition AT4X models) will equip several components from the AT4X AEV Edition as standard, including the bumpers, skid plates, grille, and tires.

Under the hood, the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is available with four engine options, including the turbo 2.7 I4 L3B and atmospheric 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engines already mentioned, as well as the atmospheric 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine. Critically, the latest 2023 model also introduces the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine as a replacement for the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel engine offered previously.

Final details include new exterior paint options and the new Graphite Edition package.

Under the body panels, the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 rides on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

    5. My ’22 High Country order was canceled last year due to the constraints on SuperCruise and the 3-liter diesel. I was willing to change engines, but SuperCruise is the entire reason I’m wanting to upgrade from my ’20 Sierra. If it doesn’t have SuperCruise, I don’t want it. I’m debating on whether I should even bother trying to order a ’23.

  2. So now the Ultimate isn’t Ultimate anymore, they have increased the price and it’s doesn’t come with the tailgate speakers or Super Cruise, this has to be added at the dealer for a price….. GMCs whole thing was this truck has EVERYTHING included and you don’t have to add anything. GMC really failing their customer base with this one SMH…

    1. do not understand this either, we are still in 2022, it can not have 2022 and 2023 at same time, make just one.

  4. I don’t get the whole sub brand thing of a sub brand. Denali/ Denali Ultimate. It should be just Denali and you get everything except an option sunroof. You start out with the basic truck called the Pro, how about we get really crazy and have Rookie model that is the Ultimate basic truck

    1. why an option sunroof, make all together already with Panorama roof.

  5. Do not understand why having 3 Pickup as GMC and 4 PickUp as Chevrolet … all more or less ugly and quite the same.

    So my suggestion is :

    A. Option : making only 8 “good” Pickup as GMC and none as Chevrolet

or, as having GM Pickup in Brasil, then

    B. cancel the mark Chevrolet, because the logo is ugly, and make all vehicles as only GMC, GM Company.

As Cadillac came as strange, cancel the name cadillac also and reduce so many costs with details nobody sees

  8. I cannot believe how the auto industry has been turned on it’s head. We had a new Silverado ordered. It was made in Mexico. It been sitting outside in a holding lot for over 4 months wanting on chips. I’m just going to keep my 2009 Silverado it’s just fine. GM has lost me as a cash paying customer.

  9. When is the Silverado 1500 configurator going live? I will probably wait for a 24 when things are straightened out and the recession has brought back rebate incentives.

  10. Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk GM. Why can’t you tell those of us who have been waiting for months and months when our truck will arrive at the dealership. I’m tried of reading about all of your promises/upgrades/promotions and price increases. I just want to know when will my truck be delivered. As we wait for delivery, prices are constantly increasing!!!
