GM pulled the sheets on the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado in July, revealing the latest third generation for the midsize pickup truck. Updates include new exterior styling, an overhauled interior, a revised platform, a new powertrain lineup, and new safety features. Now, we’re checking out these first live photos of the 2023 Chevy Colorado Z71 in Harvest Bronze Metallic paint.
For those readers who may be unaware, Harvest Bronze Metallic is a new color for the latest 2023 model year, one of eight exterior paint options on offer. Tagged with paint code GXN, the Harvest Bronze Metallic paint color has a somewhat brownish tint to it in these real world photos, whereas images of the paint taken from the official online configurator give it more of a greenish tint.
As for the 2023 Chevy Colorado Z71 specifically, this trim level slots in between the range-topping ZR2 and mid-range LT, offering customers a good deal of off-road worthiness, but not quite the same capability as the ZR2 trim.
The front end of the 2023 Chevy Colorado shows off an aggressive new look, with the latest third-generation update applying a new fascia design that looks chunkier and more technical than the previous generation. The front end also features red tow hooks, a black grille bar, plus the requisite Z71 badge. LED lighting is standard for the headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights, and taillights.
In the corners, we see this 2023 Chevy Colorado riding on a set of 18-inch Aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler tires and housed under a set of black fender flares. Also of note are the two-tone sideview mirrors, which combo black top-halves with body-colored stems.
Moving into the rear, we see Z71 decals applied to the rear fenders, plus reshaped housings for the taillights.
As for the power spec, the 2023 Chevy Colorado Z71 features the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine in the mid-range 2.7 Turbo Plus tune, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Output is sent through the updated GM 8-speed automatic transmission. Under the skin, the 2023 Chevy Colorado rides on the GM GMT 31XX platform.
The 2023 Chevy Colorado is scheduled to hit production next January at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Looks more like pond scum.
Where’s the vinyl tape on the B-pillar?
The pillar had the black vinyl at the vehicle’s debut.
Hope the production vehicle has it. Looks unfinished without it.
The less “tape” the better. Paint > tape/plastic
Hopefully not. After a year or two that black plastic fades and looks terrible. I will be really glad if they’re getting rid of it.
This is like a metallic version of Jeep’s Gator color.
Any more inside room?
It lost some legroom in the rear.
Now make a Blazer version of this truck and call it something like “K5 Blazer” or “Blazer offroad” and perhaps make a Blazer sub brand like Ford did with the Bronco. You keep the hot car based one and now you have the off Road one based off the body on frame Colorado pick up. Will Mary Barra do it? I bet it would sell like crazy!
I agree with Steve on the K5 Blazer,it would sell like crazy.Would like to know the fuel rating for the new Colorado .
