The 2023 Cadillac CT4 hits the scene as the fourth model year for the luxury four-door, debuting a handful of updates and changes compared to the 2022 Cadillac CT4. Now, GM Authority has learned that units of the 2023 Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT4-V have been built without ventilated seat blower motors.
According to sources familiar with the matter, units of the 2023 Cadillac CT4 and 2023 Cadillac CT4-V produced from the start of production on July 18th through September 4th have been built without the ventilated seat cushion blower motor. Affected vehicles are indicated as such by the window sticker, which includes RPO code 04O.
Customers who purchase a 2023 Cadillac CT4 or 2023 Cadillac CT4-V affected by this constraint will receive a $25 purchase credit. Affected units will be eligible for a dealer-installed feature retrofit at an unspecified later date.
The affected feature in question is the Ventilated driver and front passenger seat cushions and seatbacks, which is tagged with RPO code KU9. This feature is normally included and only available via the Climate Package (RPO code Y6F) offered for Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels for the 2023 Cadillac CT4, as well as the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V. The feature is not offered at all for the 2023 Cadillac CT4 Luxury.
To note, the Ventilated driver and front passenger seat cushions and seatbacks (RPO code KU9) feature is also included with the Climate Package (RPO code Y6F) for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. However, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is not affected by this latest blower motor constraint.
As GM Authority exclusively covered earlier this month, general production of the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V will be heavily constrained for the remainder of the model year. This particular constraint is the result of a supplier issue.
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT4 is based on the GM Alpha 2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
