GM has introduced price increases to the 2023 Buick Envision lineup, raising the base price of the compact crossover across all trim levels.
Going forward, the 2023 Buick Envision will be $1,900 pricier in the base Preferred in mid-grade Essence trim levels, which includes the $1,500 charge for the addition of the mandatory three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan. This essentially equates to a $400 price increase, as the remaining $1,500 expense comes in exchange for additional features/equipment, however there’s no way to get around paying for the OnStar and Connected Services plan.
Trim Level | Drivetrain | 2023 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|---|
Preferred | FWD | $34,795 |
Preferred | AWD | $38,445 |
Preferred ST | FWD | $36,240 |
Preferred ST | AWD | $39,890 |
Essence | FWD | $38,895 |
Essence | AWD | $40,695 |
Essence ST | FWD | $40,390 |
Essence ST | AWD | $42,190 |
Avenir | FWD | $47,055 |
Avenir | AWD | $48,855 |
Pricing for the range-topping 2023 Buick Envision Avenir is now $5,810 higher than it was previously, including the $1,500 charge for OnStar and Connected Services. The Power panoramic moonroof (RPO code C3U) and the equipment from the Technology Package II are now standard on the Avenir trim level, which cost $1,450 and $1,965 on the 2022MY Envision Avenir, respectively.
The Technology Package II equipment includes the following equipment (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- HD Surround Vision (RPO UV2)
- 10.2-inch diagonal Buick Infotainment system with navigation (RPO IOU)
- Bose 9-speaker audio system (RPO UQS)
- memory card receptacle (RPO MCR)
- HD Radio (RPO U2L)
- Head-Up Display (RPO UV6)
- Universal Home Remote (RPO UG1)
- Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (RPO UGN)
- Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist (RPO UKZ)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (RPO KSG)
- LED headlamps with enhanced functionality (RPO UWN)
- Rear Camera Mirror (RPO DRZ)
- Rear Camera Mirror Washer (RPO CWA)
- Continuous Damping Control (RPO F45)
The 2023 Buick Envision represents the third model year of the crossover’s second generation. While the nameplate introduces minor changes for 2023, including a revised exterior color palette, it sticks with the familiar turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It also retains the standard GM nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive continuing as an optional extra. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China.

What’s the deal with forcing OnStar as expensive standard equipment??
Yoo vill pay for it und yoo vill LIKE it!!!
GOOD BY TO GM,BEEN A CUSTOMER ALL MY LIFE,JUST GOT HOOKED ON MY NEW 2022 GMC CANYON THAT I WAITED FIVE MONTHS TO GET FOR ONSTAR THAT I DONT NEED OR WANT.TIME TO STOP BUYING FROM THEM.JIM
BS $1500 for Onstar, because it is worthless when you only go local! Retired and don’t need it—Period. Just lost my business.
These big price increases are simply to get buyers used to high transaction MSRP’s when they go EV. I say no thank you.
Is production of the ’23 model still adversely impacted by the Covid shutdowns in China?
I am glad I got my dream suv sport buick envision st 2022 Cause now the price is going up on suv more money 💰 lot
I just posted this same comment on the 2nd Keyfob post, but I’ll add it again here as it seems fitting in this area as well. Sorry if the double post is annoying to anyone…
Buy a certified pre-owned 2021, that what I just did (a loaded 21 Avenir AWD w/ 9,000 miles (has both the Pano roof and Tech II package (now standard on the 2023’s))). Came with 2 fobs, all chips included so all functions work as expected. This is my first CPO but if it goes well maybe it will be my new way of buying cars. You get the +1 yr bumper-to-bumper add-on and they lengthen the powertrain/roadside to 6yr/100k, and add 2 free oil changes- so not really losing anything in the way of remaining warranty, just a few thousand miles on the clock. Mine had an original window sticker of over $47k (which apparently would be $48.8k on a 2023 model with no changes but the mandatory on-star) but I got it for $41k, then took $1000 off from my GM card (max on a CPO) so a purchase price of $40k- in this environment that seemed decent to me (plus, I don’t need/want 3 years of on-star). I’m not interested in ordering cars with an unspecified delivery date or features subject to future activation. I like touching & driving the car I’ll be paying for prior to purchase 🙂
