2022 Cadillac XT6 Heated Seat Retrofits Under Way

Cadillac vehicles faced limited heated and ventilated seat supply for the 2022 model year, but GM recently began installing these features in certain affected vehicles after the fact. That includes the Cadillac XT6, which is now being retrofitted with heated/ventilated seats at dealerships through a Customer Satisfaction Program.

GM dealers have begun to get in touch with owners of 2022 Cadillac XT6 models whose vehicles were affected by the microchip shortage to receive heated front seat, heated rear seat and ventilated front seat retrofits. Parts and labor for this work will be complimentary. Other Cadillac vehicles affected by the heated/ventilated seat availability problems include the XT4 and XT5 crossovers. Cadillac’s two sedan models, the CT4 and CT5, as well as the Cadillac Escalade, were not impacted.

Heated front seats (RPO code KA1) come equipped as standard for all three 2022 Cadillac XT6 trim levels, which include the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. Ventilated front seats (RPO KU9) are offered as optional equipment on the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, while Heated outboard rear seats (RPO KA6) are optional with the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, but are not offered with the Luxury trim in any capacity.

As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin is the GM C1 platform, while production for the North American market takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. In addition to the XT6, the Spring Hill facility also produces the Cadillac XT6, GMC Acadia, and Cadillac Lyriq EV crossovers.
