Enthusiasts eager to run an all-terrain tire that offers the look and capability of an off-road option without sacrificing on-road manners or drivability can opt for the Hankook Dynapro AT2 Extreme All-Terrain, which just received a greatly expanded size range, and includes suitable replacement tires for the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 light-duty pickups.
Hankook says that the Dynapro AT2 Extreme All-Terrain was designed specifically for enthusiasts, including off-roaders, weekend warriors, and overlanders, who spend the majority of their driving time driving on the highway, but still want the confidence to explore the trail and go the distance to find that hidden campsite.
Now, Hankook has announced 43 additional sizes for the Dynapro AT2 Extreme All-Terrain product line, bringing the total available sizes to up to 75 and covering approximately 80 percent of the all-terrain market. Sizes available include 275/60R20 and LT275/70R18, which notably fit the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500. Hankook is also offering popular floating sizes such as 35X12.50R20 and 35X12.50R17.
The upgraded AT2 Extreme incorporates an aggressive shoulder design, as well as enhanced noise reduction, increased longevity, and high-depth sidewall blocks. The cross-combined shoulder scoops enhance off-road traction, while mitigating cuts and abrasions. The tire also has the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating for added traction in snowy conditions.
Of course, aesthetically speaking, the Dynapro AT2 Extreme All-Terrain also features an aggressive profile and appearance, plus the option for white sidewall lettering.
“We aim to be at the forefront of growth in the SUV and Light Truck market, and the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme is a prime example,” said Vice President of Marketing, Hankook Tire America Corp., JJ Park. “The Dynapro AT2 Xtreme is our most popular pickup truck tire and by expanding the size range, we are excited to provide customers with a full size lineup.”
