The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 and refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 already include a wealth of updates and changes over the pre-refresh Limited models and 2021 model year, but for those customers eager to bless their pickup with some serious under-hood performance, Callaway Cars is now offering its new SC602 Supercharger package.
For those readers who may be unaware, Callaway Cars has built a reputation for producing some seriously fast GM machinery. New models are delivered right to Callaway’s facilities from the factory, where the specialist installs go-fast components and packages before the vehicles are then delivered to GM dealers and sold to retail customers.
That includes the new SC602 package for refreshed Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra models equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. The heart of the package is the Gen Three TVS R2650 Supercharger System with TripleCooled Intercooling, which features an internal bypass mechanism that diverts inlet air flow during idle, low-load cruise, and deceleration to deliver fuel economy that is “practically unchanged” compared to that of the factory configuration.
Installed on the refreshed Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, this blower ups output to 602 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 560 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm, a considerable boost over the factory L87’s 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm. According to Callaway, four-wheel-drive Crew Cab / Short Bed models with the supercharger package can sprint to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds at 113 mph, as compared to stock performance of 5.4 seconds to 60 mph and a quarter mile run in 13.9 seconds at 101 mph.
The package also throws in a new high-flow intake system and low-restriction exhaust with dual outlets and quad tips, as well as unique CalCal engine calibration that ensures 50-state emissions compliance and warranty retention. Further standard equipment for the package includes aesthetic upgrades like hard-anodized aluminum door sills, Callaway key medallions, chrome badging, authentication plaques, and related documentation.
Notably, the package includes a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty, while options like 20-inch wheels, suspension packages, and billet pedals are also available. New models are available for purchase now. Interested customers are encouraged to contact Callaway for more information.

Callaway makes some serious GM cars/trucks, but be prepared to pay a ton.
If you don’t mind that your build won’t have “Callaway” decals on the fenders, a reputable local shop could do the same work for a fraction of the price. My local shop does top-notch work and they don’t make you pay for their name (Callaway, Hennessey, Roush, Saleen, etc.).
Part of the reason is that Callaway and others (add Rocky Ridge to your list) exist is that they ensure FMVSS and emissions compliance and provide a warranty to cover the portions of the factory warranty they voided. That allows dealers to sell them as new cars. That then allows purchasers to get financing on it as a new dealership car at much better interest rates.
Otherwise, you’d have to finance a new car, then put the mods on your credit card, or pay higher rates for non-franchised dealers. Insurance may also pose an issue.
Credit cards for car parts? If someone can’t pay cash, they don’t need them that badly. By the time someone pays off their bill, they have paid 25-50% more than what the parts originally cost. Cuckoo!
As far as insurance, my agent doesn’t need to know how I have modified my cars, nor do they ever ask. What I do with my vehicles is my business. And with my cars, I have done plenty.
I agree with you that the included warranty through Callaway et. al. is quite nice. That is a thumbs up in my book. 3 years and 36,000 miles is quite good on aftermarket goodies. Cheers. 🙂
Now, maybe a rcsb with the same set-up.
I’m surprised this article didn’t talk about how this program now extends to the GM SUV Line, including; the 2021+ Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, and Escalade ESV.
Or for 300$ you can just add the LT2 manifold. Per my research last year a guy tried adding one to a Camaro 6.2 and found that even reversed (throttle body is on the backside of this one) the ports and holes line up. It returned an additional 30HP with gains as low as 3000 rpm.
