All-New 2023 GMC Canyon Confirmed For The Middle East

On the heels of the world debut of the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon on August 11th in Detroit, General Motors confirmed that the third-generation Canyon will mark the arrival of GMC‘s midsize pickup for the first time in the Middle East.

The automaker’s subsidiary for Africa and the Middle East has confirmed that the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon will join the brand’s portfolio of vehicles in the region, currently the most important export market outside of North America. As the company previously teased in April, the 2023 Canyon will arrive in Southwest Asian countries exclusively in the new AT4X trim.

“The Middle East market, our first export market outside of North America, is very important for us. We’re very excited to be delivering on our promise and announce that the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon in the AT4X trim will join our premium line-up,” said Director of Communications at GM Africa and Middle East, Sean Poppitt, in a statement. “We know it will quickly claim its territory in the region’s deserts and mountains, and will naturally fit with our client base,” he added.

The all-new 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X arrives as the most advanced midsize off-road pickup in its class, reinforcing the AT4X sub-brand’s commitment to delivering professional-grade off-road capability combined with a high level of refinement. The AT4X presents the most aggressive design of the new Canyon, with extensive off-road equipment as standard and unprecedented features in its segment – such as the waterproof underbody cameras that offer lower front and rear views of the vehicle.

Inside, the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X features a highly refined cabin packed with thoughtful details that deliver a premium experience. Interior highlights of the 2023 Canyon AT4X include a two-tone finish with red accents, an 11.3-inch infotainment system touchscreen, an 11-inch fully digital instrument cluster, GMC’s exclusive head-up display, and a seven-speaker Bose audio system.

The all-new 2023 GMC Canyon is expected to officially launch in the Middle East in the middle of next year, a few months after the model’s arrival in the United States and Canada in early 2023. As in North America, the new-generation GMC Canyon will arrive in the region with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine that develops 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
