The range-topping Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum, meanwhile, will be priced from $107,890. Four-wheel-drive can be equipped on any Cadillac Escalade or Escalade ESV trim level for $3,000, except for the Escalade-V variants, which feature standard AWD. The 3.0L LM2 I-6 turbodiesel Duramax engine remains a no-cost option on the Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV for the 2023 model year, as well.
This $2,000 price increase comes as a result of an effective $500 increase in the actual MSRP of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, as well as another $1,500 from the addition of the mandatory three-year OnStar & Connected Services Plan. The OnStar and Connected Service plan adds a separate, in-vehicle internet connection to power GM vehicle apps like the smartphone-based remote key fob, Alexa Built-In AI assistant, Spotify, Audiobooks, Maps+ navigation and more.
Production of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV kicked off on July 18th at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

The “mandatory” three-year OnStar & Connected Services Plan is a deal breaker for me. I would cancel my order. The service is not worth the price.
You’re spending $110k or so and you’re making a big deal out of a $1500 OnStar package.
Such entitlement and so ridiculous.
And just to think, the Base Price for this particular Escalade was just 72k upon its initial introduction to the market, the ESV Trim could be close to 200k before another Redesign is due.
Just another way of adding to the sticker price for GM’s benefit. Then once delivered to a dealer they to add “market adjustment “ and other “dealer installed options” to the sticker price. It’s a joke!
A smartphone does more for you than OnStar. You cannot carry OnStar with you in your pocket . Plus having a smartphone is your choice of expense. (And the best choice)
Maybe just a way to charge you for over the air updates ?
It won’t be long until GM offers buyers the option of taking out a mortgage for 25 years to buy a Cadillac !
If you have to take out a second mortgage for a luxury car, you should not buy it in the first place.
Truth on that, also there are already people out there who would default on a Loan just to have something that they really can’t afford I’ll settle for a well equipped Sierra SLE and call it a day.
So, is the cost of materials still going up in spite the halt on inflation or the demand outstripping supply to increase the price once more?
The OnStar hardware should operate as an extension of your smartphone.
