The Hummer H1 is nothing short of awesome, offering legendary off-road agility and oodles of room for personalization. Now, one custom builder has transformed the Hummer H1 into what’s described as an “overland comfort castle,” complete with a queen-sized bed, a residential-sized shower, and everything else needed to enjoy a slice of civilization just about anywhere you may desire.
The custom Hummer H1 in question was designed by Wolf Rigs, based out of Englewood, Colorado. It’s called the Patton, and it’s filled to bursting with creature comforts and cool features, all without compromising on the Hummer H1’s off-road capabilities.
Let’s start with the underlying vehicle. The Wolf Rigs Patton starts with a basic Hummer H1, into which the customizer adds a brand-new Humvee drivetrain. The vehicle also offers a considerable 16 inches of ground clearance, which means it has the goods to travel over some pretty rough terrain, if desired, while the rear of the all-aluminum frame and shell houses stuff like a spare wheel and tire, a winch, and a propane tank.
While the vehicle is impressive, it’s the interior of the Wolf Rigs Patton that truly sets it off. Thanks to that sizable aluminum shell, this thing has what looks to be a full apartment parked on the back of it. Just above the driving space is a large queen-sized bed, behind which is a lounge-style seating area. Behind that is a kitchen area with storage, a sink, and a stove, plus classy wood surfaces and flooring adding to the rustic feel. Multiple windows let in tons of ambient lighting, while further storage and shelving makes it easy to hideaway supplies. Lighting in the ceiling provides further illumination.
Finally, the rear of the rig houses a large stand-up shower, which combos with a hideaway toilet to complete the bathroom section.
Wolf Rigs doesn’t list a price for the Patton hummer H1, but encourages interested customers to sign up for more information through the Wolf Rigs website.
