The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS was unveiled earlier this week, bringing top-tier Super Sport performance to the Bow Tie brand’s first-ever electric crossover. Now, Chevrolet has revealed the exterior color options available for the Blazer EV SS. There are eight exterior colors available in total, and each features a two-tone paint scheme with a contrasting black roof for a sportier appearance.

The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS is no stranger to performance. It features “design and engineering developed to live up to the legacy of the iconic Super Sport performance designation.” Its standard Ultium Drive dual-motor AWD configuration will be capable of 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, allowing the crossover to gallop from zero to 60 mph in under four seconds with Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode activated. The Blazer EV SS driving range from a full charge is estimated at 290 miles, thanks to its largest available Ultium battery pack. It will also feature other performance components, including a sport-tuned chassis and Brembo front brakes.

Sterling Gray Metallic
The Chevy Blazer EV SS will feature 11.5 kW level 2 AC charging and standard DC public fast-charging capability of up to 190 kW, able to add approximately 78 miles of range in 10 minutes, according to GM estimates. Locating a charging station is made slightly easier by GM’s charging station locator, available via the MyChevy smartphone app, as well as its Ultium Charge 360 in-vehicle charging software.

The Chevy Blazer EV SS will launch in late 2023 with prices starting at around $65,995 not including the destination freight charge. Chevrolet is currently taking reservations on its website. Production is expected to begin next year, and will take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

The first photos made this thing look frumpy. But I have to be honest this is a nicely styled vehicle.
The only issue is how will the low roof line effect cargo and rear room?
I think the black roof makes it look shorter than it is. I assume it will be very similar to the current Blazer, which has more than enough room. My son is 6’3″ and fits in the back of our Blazer just fine. I can also see out of the back of it just fine. The black roof is a design kind of started with the Mustang Mach E and it was specifically made black to give the car a shorter look.
A 6’5″ reporter sat in the rear of the vehicle, head room was “just enough” for them.
Cargo is the primary concern as it limits car and the opening, I have had low roofed CUV models and higher roof and the roof height can make a difference.
Not a big fan of the overall design but the paint colors are nice.
Love this sleek open wheel design wish it had a HEV or PHEV with ICE too for apartment or condo dwellers that it will take many years to get overnight chargers installed on surface or under ground parking areas for EV’s .The side view has the flow and look of the Buick Roadmasters or Rivieras of the 1950-60 really elegant ! Will there still be an ice model available in this design ,hopefully?
Which is why I want GM to seriously consider a Voltec 2.0 system on the Ultium platform with a fuel efficient range extender motor.
Dear Gary L. and Evo69,
That would require a total redesign, since the Blazer EV and Equinox BEV were designed from the ground up as a BEV on the Ultium platform. The range will be around 300 miles and have really fast 190 kW DC charging, so it would be very easy to stop at a fast 150kW or 350kW DC charger once a week to charge up for apartment dwellers that don’t have access to an outlet. Eric (“News Coulomb” on YouTube), a blogger does it all the time with his Bolt EV that only gets 238 miles on a charge and has slow 50kW DC charging. He has been doing it since December 2016. He does not find it to be a problem at all.
Thanks but no thanks Jeff , there are several thousand apartments on our rental complex, plus many othe similar size complex’s in a .city of under 200,000 ,if we All run out to charge on the very few public or gas station EV charging stations as many are Seniors that are not educated on the new charge card chargers and bad guys hanging out to accost them near the charger stations too ,it will take forever for a full charge if needed .I have owned about 90 new GM vehicles .I will probably looking to go to a HEV or PHEV with Kia Hyundai Honda or Toyota built in the USA and Canada sadly ! GM EV’s are a bridge too far for millions of buyer’ s or leasers today ,sadly even with my desire to own this new beautiful Blazer !
I see what you are saying. But as far as I and many people are concerned, they are not ready to make the big jump to full BEVs. Funny you brought up News Coulomb, I also subscribe to his channel on YouTube and see what he has done with his Bolt. But I cant consider myself fully committed to BEVs. A 2nd gen Volt with ACC is looking mighty fine to me nowadays.
Oh joy, another white, black, off-white, grey, red, red, dark grey, blue offering. The interior will be BLACK, of course.
The world is grey and so are our vehicles. Come back Earl Scheib!
A black roof…..what about climates like Phoenix with full sun and 110° several months a year? A/C will be taking a lot of extra battery power. Looks good .
Rick,
As a fellow Phoenician, I believe the bigger issue than the black roof would be that gigantic panoramic glass sunroof. I would prefer that to be an “option” and would opt to delete that on the SS if there was the ability to do so.
I agree glass sunroof and black roof are issues in hot temps.
I’d get the red hot one
I’d get the red hot one.
I do like the overall design of the car.
Why in the world did GM build a pano roof without a cover? geez. Most of us DO NOT WANT THE SUN BEAMING DOWN ON US!
Oof, that’s ugly.

When will you offer other color options inside, like tan, beige??
