GM has just been recognized as the best automaker for vehicle sales and after-sales service in South Korea, leading the 2022 Korean Service Quality Index (KSQI) survey organized by Korea Management Association Consulting.
General Motors ranked first for quality in the South Korea Domestic Vehicle Sales category with a total of 96 points out of a possible 100, marking the 10th year in a row that it has led the KSQI. In addition, GM Korea was also recognized as the best company in the service sector for the fourth year in a row with 93 points out of a possible 100 in the After-Sales Service category.
“GM Korea’s achievement as the best company in sales and service in the prestigious KSQI wouldn’t have been possible without our employees’ effort to provide the best service to our customers,” said President and CEO of GM Korea, Roberto Rempel, in a statement. “Our first priority is putting the customer at the center of everything we do,” he added.
The KSQI survey is a service quality measurement system that measures the customer experience in South Korea, split up into two sections. The first one includes “Call Center” evaluates the quality of service of each company over the phone, while “Customer Contact Points” evaluates face-to-face service. The second section is measured with a mystery survey in which an evaluation team visits a store posing as a regular customer.
Of the 11 criteria evaluating customer satisfaction with service quality in the 2022 KSQI, GM Korea scored 100 points in speech, tone, naming, and listening attitude in the sales category, as well as high scores in friendliness and listening attitude in the service sector. This is a major competitive advantage for GM over local Korean automakers.
The 2022 KSQI was addressed to a wide spectrum of 134 companies and institutions in 34 industries in South Korea, their evaluation being an objective indicator of the level of service received by end consumers. In addition, the company was recognized for having an “excellent call center” in the KSQI for the 19th consecutive year, and this year highlighted the new Chevrolet Premium Care service for the first time, offered in more than 400 dealerships in the country.
