Cadillac Lyriq Sport To Get Unique Front Grille Pattern

GM is expected to eventually shift to a more traditional trim level lineup for the Cadillac Lyriq, introducing Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport versions of the electric crossover, along with potential uplevel Platinum versions, as well. GM Authority is now beginning to learn more about the expected Cadillac Lyriq Sport variant, which will feature a unique front grille pattern to help further differentiate it from other Lyriq trim levels.
The unique fascia for the Cadillac Lyriq Sport will retain the vertical light strips on the outer edges of the bumpers, which house the headlamp projectors, but it will introduce a sportier-looking faux front grille with a different embedded LED light pattern. We expect the Lyriq Sport to also offer unique options from the Luxury trim level, which may include more aggressive-looking available wheels, different available interior upholstery, carbon interior trim and red-painted brake calipers, among more.
Our recent rendering of the Lyriq Sport, which is expected to go on sale for the 2024 model year, has the same front grille as the Debut Edition, but features other typical Sport trim level components including gloss black trim, gloss black wheels with a polished lip and dark taillight surrounds with clear lenses. We imagine this variant will also come standard with the Lyriq’s dual-motor powertrain, which produces over 500 pound-feet of torque. To note, the Cadillac Lyriq is also available with a single drive motor, which is rated at 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
GM has sold out its available pre-order slots for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq, but is accepting waiting list reservations for 2023, as well as reservations for the 2024 model year. Production of the crossover is now underway at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
