C8 Corvette Looks Mean Riding On Vossen Forged LC2-C1 Wheels: Video

The C8 Corvette Stingray is the kind of vehicle that doesn’t need modifications to turn heads, but that hasn’t stopped owners from customizing their mid-engine Vette how they see fit. Just take this custom C8 Corvette Stingray, for example, which was recently featured on the social media pages of wheel manufacturer Vossen thanks to its rather tasteful exterior mods.

This C8 Corvette Stingray was delivered in the Arctic White exterior color and features a contrasting painted roof and nacelles and what appears to be an aftermarket aero kit with a front splitter, side rockers and a prominent lower rear diffuser. What appears to be a lookalike high wing rear spoiler resides out back and is joined by an elaborate custom exhaust system with heat-treated tips.
The centerpiece of this C8 Corvette Stingray build, however, is the set of wheels. This car rides on Vossen LC2-C1 wheels, which have a motorsport-inspired look that almost reminds us of the turbofan-style wheels that were once popular in racing and on performance vehicles in the 1980s. These monoblock wheels are available in a range of diameters, from 19 inches to a whopping 24 inches, and can be ordered in 48 different finishes. Pricing starts at $2,000 each, so it’s safe to say that this is a very high-end wheel that will probably only end up on pricy vehicles like the Corvette. Vossen’s site even shows them installed on hugely valuable exotics like the Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 918 Spyder.
Completing this build are a set of red contrasting center caps for the Vossen LC2-C1 wheels, which are joined by matching red-painted brake calipers. Vossen says work on the car was completed by Florida-based shops M.Tech Performance and Vivid Racing.

Here we go again with black wheels to me no matter what car you put them on they just don’t look good on Anty car yes aim old and we all know it’s the young GM is catering to. I wish they would come out with a special edition every place where they have black on the body front rear and rimes do chrome show both and let the people decide the better one.
The brake dust on the front wheels of my 2021 made me think of going to black wheels. I did purchase and will install low dust pads. Had the factory wheels ceramic coated so I could clean them a little easier and it works. Contacted Vossen directly
and found the prices to purchase directly from them reasonable. But I do like factory stock stock and will pick a different
Chevy wheel if I change them.
These look nice. but I like the HF2 a little more.
2000 a wheel so with tires about a11 to 12k upgrade. All c8s should have a real forge wheel not a marketing hype cast alloy with a word in front of forge in my opinion. Nice looking spec for sure.
If I’m not mistaken. This C8 looks lowered.
The aftermarket wheels can help bring the wheel / tire combo out to the edge of the body by changing the wheel offset. Most manufactures have the wheel inset from the body edge – maybe due to regulations. If you look at the factory C8 wheels and then compare to aftermarket you will see the difference. And of course aftermarket wheels personalize the vehicle a little more. Most aftermarket wheels have lots of colors available as well.
The wheel should be slightly inset from the fender so it can’t fling dirt and stones onto your bodywork or other cars on the road. I get that it’s fashionable to have the tires stand proud of the fender and of course the wheel gap is another fashion point, that’s all personal preference.
