ACS Composite Introduces C8 Corvette 7VM Front Splitter

Quebec-based aftermarket parts company ACS Composite has a wide range of aftermarket cosmetic parts available for the C8 Corvette Stingray, from rocker panels to rear wings and just about everything in between. The latest addition to its growing parts catalog is its new 7VM Front Splitter, which is compatible with 2020 model year and newer C8 Corvette Stingray models.

ACS Composite says it 7VM Front Splitter is intended to serve as an alternative to the available 5VM factory splitter available on the C8 Corvette Stingray, incorporating a tall side winglet to help achieve a sportier appearance. This is a plastic injection moulded part with a Carbon Flash painted finish and bolts directly to the factory front fascia using the pre-drilled holes in the underside of the bumper. The OEM T15 screws already in place on all C8 Corvette vehicles can be used to bolt the splitter to the front bumper, with customers able to complete this simple installation job from home.

ACS Composite designer Joseph Taverna says the 7VM was designed to accentuate some of the Corvette’s styling cues, giving it an OEM-like appearance.

“The 7VM is not something terribly complicated, but the notch inside the winglet is similar to the side inlets on the C8, and that seemed like a cool way to bring the car together from a design perspective,” Taverna said.

This aftermarket plastic front splitter costs $879 USD to order from ACS Composite’s website, or $1,167 CAD for those readers up in Canada. The splitter will ship in a protective box with instructions but will not come with hardware, as the user will have to repurpose the T15 screws that came with the vehicle.
