Looks like a wagon
Not bad. I like it more than the Mustang Mach E.
Blazer EV SS…………… I wonder if a Camaro EV SS will be in the near future as well.
I love my ICE cars, but if the government is going to MAKE ME buy an EV I would rather have it in the form of a Camaro.
Buy the e-COPO.

I don’t bother buying cars that are hard to obtain. If I can’t just walk into a dealership and buy one, I don’t really want it. I like low maintenance and easy to replace things.
Has anyone seen a picture under the Blazer EV “frunk lid”? (front trunk)
Post a link if you have
It doesn’t have a frunk.
Looks a little better than the previous Blazer
They left out the most important option……..Automatic Fire Contro! for when that slab of lithium batteries your sitting on catch on fire.
I had a rental 2021 with the 4 cylinder with AWD that cost well under 40K and it went over 500 miles on a trip to Ohio from Upstate, NY. Here we have an entry level FWD for 45K that can only go 247 miles under perfect conditions. That is a big no from me!
I don’t think anyone has tried to convince you that an electric car is the ideal road trip vehicle.
NO ONE has ever brought up range before. Thank you for your unique and insightful perspective.
“No ONE has ever brought up range before”. John and Jay just mentioned it a few comments above. Maybe read before typing. I’m only building off their comments that half the range for more money would not remotely work for me. Get over it
Good thing you don’t have to buy it then eh?
Just curious, What is GM’s backup plan if the EV market doesn’t materialize quickly. The general population is hesitant to the EV market and over time that might dissipate. Ford seems to be splitting its business between EV’s and ICE. As a shareholder, I am curious about the contingency plans.
The RS model is more of the sweet spot IMO.
But since the RS model can be configured for FWD standard with RWD and AWD as an option instead, how would one know if the RS model is RWD in the preowned market once it goes back on sale in three to four years post lease? Obviously, you can tell that it would be AWD by looking at the rear tailgate that states it.
Maybe there is a screen panel showing this as drive pictures on infotainment.
The Blazer EV looks a lot like the Blazer ICE. There is nothing really special our modern looking about it. However, the Equinox EV looks really modern and cool looking. I’ll wait another 3 months and reserve the Equinox EV, because it is suppose to come only out 3 months after the Blazer EV. Oh, and the Equinox EV will be $15,000 LESS than the Blazer EV!!!!
The Equinox EV will fall in the compact while the Blazer EV falls in the mid size category. If you want a smaller but slightly bigger than the BOLT(s) the Equinox EV will suffice.
Yes, The Equinox EV should be the perfect size for me and within my affordable range. I hope the Equinox EV RS version gets at least 320 mile range and has the optional Super Cruise avaliable. I noticed that the Blazer EV RS version does not list Super Cruise as an option, only the 2LT and SS have optional Super Cruise according to the Blazer EV website. I hope that is an oversight and the RS versions will have Super Cruise as an available option.
SS looks nice, but I think the most popular one will be the RS or 2LT like now as most people wont’ spend the extra on an SS as the RS will have plenty of power. Lets face it if you gun the SS the battery won’t get the promised ranges. I am one of those people that don’t think EV will take off anytime soon until they can figure out how to charge vehicles easier.
There is only an eight year or 100,000 mile warranty on the entire battery. Can you imagine, having one for nine years and the battery dying on you. What will be the price for a replacement?
I got the 2022 Blazer RS with the
3.6 . It gets great mileage.and
It’s got lots of snot, why electric?
As much as I dislike BEVs and will probably never buy one, it makes sense for big heavy vehicles like SUVs and Trucks. Because you really don’t care about curb weight in vehicles like that. Trucks and SUVs are already 4000-6000lbs anyways so it really doesn’t matter. BEV sports cars are stupid but they make sense on big vehicles.
It is already Summer 2023 and there is no word of when can I place an order, not even after being on the reservation list for over a year now.
