The 2024 Cadillac XT4 is set to introduce a full model refresh, with updates slated for the exterior design, interior layout, and tech features. As covered previously, GM Authority spy photographers have caught the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 undergoing testing as a fully camouflaged prototype, but luckily, the camo did not hide the 2024 Cadillac XT4’s taillight design.
Despite the thick vinyl covers that wrap the rear end of this 2024 Cadillac XT4 prototype, the camouflage also includes a mesh cutout around the taillights, giving us a sneak peek at what the lights look like.
Similar to the current taillight design, the taillight design for the 2024 Cadillac XT4 appears to have an L-shaped layout that includes a small horizontal section to emphasize the trunk line, as well as a taller vertical section that runs up towards the roof. However, judging by these spy photos, it also looks like the taillights for the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 also includes a few new angles for the L-shaped housing, with the horizontal section angled downwards, and the upper vertical section angled outwards toward the sides of the vehicle.
The inner graphics, however, look familiar, with a square-shaped inner lighting design that runs along the upper portion of the vertical section. The inner graphics also appear to have the familiar Neutral Density color scheme.
In addition to revised taillights, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 will also present revised front and rear fascia designs, the former of which will follow the design language of the new Cadillac Lyriq with horizontal headlights paired with vertical lights. Further updates will include new wheel designs, while the interior will show off a new dash, gauge cluster, and central infotainment screen. Tech updates will include availability of the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system, as well as the latest Global B electronic architecture. To note, Global B is not required for the GM Super Cruise system.

lol I don’t see it, could be the camera angle. Changing the angle of the tail lights would mean sheet metal changes, doubt it.
Yeah, they’re the same.
You’re not looking close enough Mark. There are changes to the way the actual graphic is configured. Look at the outer edges of the cluster.
Jess, there’s plenty that can be done to change a tail lamp without changing the sheet metal.
The angle of the taillights doesn’t seem to match anything else in the C pillar.
Call me when the dash, carpet, headliner, and half the doors aren’t black.
yes to more interior options. Most companies now just offer black, yes perhaps most prefer a dark interior (hides stains and wear-n-tear better), but not everyone wants black or gray. I currently have a sand/light beige that has worn well.
Still a crossover, so no. If it still has all the ugly black plastic (unpainted) around the wheels and bottom, no thanks. There is just so much that I dislike about this car after driving those two loaners for almost two weeks, that I just couldn’t see myself putting any money on one. I disliked the handling, the floppy suspension over larger bumps, the dash layout and absolutely hated the 9 speed trans. So even if it wasn’t a crossover, there’s just no chance I’d ever buy one.
It’s supposed to be one of the coupe like crossovers so the rear window has a sharper rake down. You can see in the tail light design difference.
I have just ordered my 2023 XT6. I love my current XT6. What a great car. I have a 2022 Escalade and for my everyday use the XT 6 is a great value.
Not at all interested if no higher power options available.
Yeah, for all their crossovers, they really need an AWD transaxle that can handle the 2.7T engine, which has more torque than the 3.6 V6 in the bigger XT5 & 6. The XTS V Sport’s could, but that was *only* 6 speeds, not enough for bragging rights, and now out of production for half a decade. They could detune the engine a bit, but that’s no fun.
Looks like the old Honda CR-V. Lol.
