The 2023 Chevy Traverse goes largely unchanged from the 2022 Traverse, which received a mid-cycle enhancement (refresh). The three-row crossover continues with a single engine – GM’s naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine rated at 310 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. The atmospheric six engine connects to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, driving either the front wheels or all four via an optional all-wheel-drive system.

The 2023 Traverse continues to ride on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, which is also directly shared with the 2018 and newer, second-generation Buick Enclave. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan. Production of the 2023 Chevy Traverse began on June 11th.

  1. Oh Great another shade of gray. Lets get some other colors out there to many silvers and grays.

  2. Tony – GM thinks their customers only want white, black or 50 shades of gray. Dismal colors to mimic their dismal efforts in manufacturing great automobiles.

    1. So does GM “think” that these are the colors that customers want, or does GM have actual data that supports its production decisions?

Having worked for GM at various levels and having covered the automaker extensively, I can tell you that no decision gets made without supporting data. Nothing dismal about that.

  4. When I was working and on the road many hours 4 and 5 days each week I carried Onstar and to only time I needed it to unlock my truck. Onstar could not unlock it because of the location between two mountains. When I returned home I called and canceled my service. I have bought several cars and truck’s with onStar on them and run onStar with the free trial but never renewed. If I were told it was in the package and had to pay for it. It would be removed or I would not buy the vehicle.
