2023 Chevy Trailblazer Gets New Sterling Gray Metallic Color: First Look

The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer adds three new exterior colors to its palette: Nitro Yellow Metallic, Fountain Blue, and Sterling Gray Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Sterling Gray hue.
Assigned RPO code GZB and touch-up paint code WA-180H, Sterling Gray Metallic is one of 10 exterior colors offered on the subcompact crossover, which include:
- Blue Glow Metallic
- Crimson Metallic
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
- Mahogany Red Metallic
- Mosaic Black Metallic
- Summit White
- Vivid Orange Metallic
- Fountain Blue (new for 2023)
- Nitro Yellow Metallic (new for 2023)
- Sterling Gray Metallic (new for 2023)
The Sterling Gray Metallic color is a no-cost item that is available on all trim levels. It is matched to a Summit White roof on Activ, and either a Mosaic Black Metallic or a Crimson Metallic roof on RS.
The new color can be combined with all five available interior colorways:
- Jet Black/Medium Ash Gray
- Jet Black
- Jet Black/Almond Butter
- Jet Black with Arizona accents
- Jet Black with Red accents
The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer received only minor changes, representing the reborn crossover’s third year on the market. The Trailblazer will continue with the same two engine options – the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, which is rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, along with the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.
The Trailblazer crossover rides on the GM VSS-F platform, with production of North American-spec models taking place at the GM Bupeyong plant in South Korea. GM is set to expand production of the Chevy Trailblazer at this facility for the 2023 model year, adding some 6,000 units to the production schedule.

I hated to see Satin Steel go away but this looks like an excellent replacement. Would like to see it on the Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado as well.
Doesn’t matter, they are only available in US via port consensus. So you will get I white and black maybe red and that’s it.
That’s if you can get any at all…GM reps have acknowledged an issue with port consensus calculations but does seem to care about fixing it.
I was checking at the dealer just yesterday and they said they have 4 scheduled to arrive – 3 black and one white. You nailed it.
Now if they only had an engine!
