In early June, GM Authority reported the Onyx Lite Package (RPO code PCP) was unavailable to order on the 2023 Cadillac XT4 due to unspecified supply constraints. This LPO/dealer-installed package for the compact crossover has now returned to the XT4, GM Authority has learned, with customers once again able to apply it when they go to order the vehicle.
The Onyx Package Lite package for the Cadillac XT4 includes the following equipment (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (SKW)
- Gloss Black XT4 nameplate (RIK)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)
This cosmetic package is a variation of the more comprehensive Onyx Package, which includes all of the above-mentioned equipment, but also adds the Black surround grille with Black mesh (RZ9). The Onyx and Onyx Lite packages are available to order on the XT4 in the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. The Onyx Lite Package costs $2,195 to equip on the XT4, while the Onyx Package is priced from $2,695. Pricing for the 2023 Cadillac XT4 starts at $39,990 including the destination freight charge.
The 2023 Cadillac XT4 has received only minor changes for the new model year, including a revised exterior color palette that introduces three new colors: Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT) and Argent Silver Metallic (paint code GXD). These two colors indirectly replace Twilight Blue Metallic (paint code GA0), Radiant Silver Metallic (paint code GAN) and Infrared Tintcoat (paint code GSK), which have all now been dropped from the order book.
The 2023 model-year XT4 will stick with only one engine option: the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Routing output to the wheels is the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. Production of the 2023 Cadillac XT4 began at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City, Kansas on Friday, June 10th, 2022.
