2023 Cadillac CT4 Production Pushed Back To July 18th

The 2023 Cadillac CT4 is the fourth model year for the luxury sedan nameplate, introducing only a few small updates and changes over the preceding 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2023 Cadillac CT4 has been delayed by a week.

According to GM Authority sources, the SORP for the 2023 Cadillac CT4 is now set to begin on Monday, July 18th. As GM Authority previously reported, the SORP for the 2023 Cadillac CT4 was previously set to launch a week prior on Monday, July 11th, but was later pushed back. Production will continue to take place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

The 2023 Cadillac CT4 introduces a new exterior paint list, with three new hues added, including Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, and Midnight Steel Metallic, while five colors are no longer offered, including Diamond Sky Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Garnet Metallic, and Infrared Tintcoat. Additionally, the 2023 Cadillac CT4 will no longer offer the optional Diamond Sky Special Edition Package.

As for the high-performance 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, it too will offer a revised exterior paint list, with Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Midnight Steel Metallic, and Maverick Noir Frost (limited availability) added to the list, while Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Infrared Tintcoat, and Dark Emerald Frost deleted from the list. Additionally, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will be available with an enclosed shipping carrier option.

As for the greasy bits, the Cadillac CT4 can be had with one of three different engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque (or 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque in the CT4-V), and finally, the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin is the GM Alpha 2 platform.
