The first production example of the Cadillac Escalade-V sold for $525,000 at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas over the weekend, but that wasn’t the only high-value GM product to cross the auction block at the event. A 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 was also auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas, fetching an incredible $325,000 before the gavel fell.
According to the lot listing, this 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 is a one-owner vehicle with just 48 miles on the odometer, which means it has barely been driven since it rolled off the assembly line at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan. As many GM Authority readers will already know, all GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 models come identically equipped with an Interstellar White paint and a unique Lunar Horizon interior with bronze accents. All of these vehicles also come standard with a 1,000 horsepower tri-motor powertrain, as well an Extreme Off-Road Package with 18-inch wheels and 35-inch tires, Adaptive Air Suspension, the GMC MultiPro tailgate, 800-volt DC fast charging and the latest version of GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system. This vehicle was offered with no reserve.
This isn’t the first GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 to fetch big bucks at a collector car auction. Back in March, a GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 sold for $286,000 at an auction hosted by Mecum, while an online sale of an Edition 1 back in May attracted a high bid of $260,000. The first production example of the Hummer EV Edition 1 also sold for $2.5 million at a Barrett-Jackson auction in 2021, with all proceeds from that sale benefitting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Some GM dealerships have also been tacking high markup prices onto the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 due to the vehicle’s appeal and limited availability, so it’s not surprising to see one sell for a six-figure sum.

I saw three of these on I-75 the other day on a trailer. At the time I wondered about just how much weight that was.
Now I'm thinking about how that was like $1 million worth of what looked like old Avalanches. All three were white. Are they all white?
I bet the person that bought it had more money than brains.. You can't fix STUPID. 🤣😂🤣😂😜

Jealousy is a bad thing
Assuming it lasts 30 years!
The EV Silverado looks just like a 4-door Avalanche too! They should at least offer a sporty 2-door version!
GM had someone bidding using GM money to get the price up.
I’m looking at the refreshed Silverado with the 3.0 Duramax that gets 30+ mpg, not ready for an EV yet.
