Early this year, GM made a splash in the performance SUV segment with the debut of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, a supercharged go-fast variant of the popular Cadillac Escalade luxury vehicle. Now, popular music producer, composer, and artist Maffio is getting up close and personal with the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V in the following brief video advertisement.
Clocking in at 30 seconds in length, the video is simple, showing off the new high-powered Escalade and Maffio’s reaction to it. For those readers who may not know, Maffio has collected a long list of hits and accolades over the course of his career, including multiple Grammy awards and an extended discography as both producer and the main artist.
The 36-year-old Dominican obviously knows success when he hears it, and the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is no exception. The video goes over the basics, including the hand-built supercharged engine, performance specs, and the SUV’s ability to blend both performance and luxury in equal quantities.
“Whoo!” Maffio exclaims as the Escalade-V accelerates. “I’ve gotta make a beat out of this!”
The new SUV definitely looks the part as well, with a more aggressive exterior design that includes a new front bumper, unique alloy wheels, and a quad exhaust system that spits all sorts of fun noises. Don’t forget the requisite V-Series badging as well.

As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is features the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, the same powerplant found in the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, Chevy Camaro ZL1, and third-gen Cadillac CTS-V, among others. Output is rated at 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm, which is enough muscle to send the SUV from a standstill to 60 mph in roughly 4.4 seconds. Under the body panels, the Escalade-V rides on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

how much did they pay maffio for this 30 sec gem?
Somehow GM thinks there is a business need to create a rare 5,000-10,000 V Series Escalade edition, but not create a Supercharged Sierra/Silverado AT4X/ZR2 when there are cries from the heavens for it to happen. Not one soul asked for the V Series Escalade, especially when these owners of current Escalades can afford to supercharge their own cars for half the price
They’ll sell every single one of them and it’s likely one of their highest margin vehicles. Also, the V is far more comprehensive than a standard Escalade with a supercharger.
I completely agree about the ZR2 and AT4X. That said an Escalade V has also been asked for and needed for years. Personally I think it should be a no brainer to offer both.
