GM is cooking up a full model refresh for the heavy duty Chevy Silverado HD pickup truck, set to drop for the 2024 model year. Now, GM Authority has the first glimpse of the refreshed 2024 Silverado HD interior.
Although these latest spy photos do not show the entire cabin layout, there are a few noteworthy features we can still pick out. Starting in the far left, we see a tall, vertically oriented vent with horizontal slats and a polished trim surround, next to which is a large gauge pod hood with a glossy black finish. On top of the gauge pod, we see some stitched upholstery.
Next to the gauges, we also spot a horizontally oriented touchscreen, with the glovebox adjacent and finished with possible wood trim.
From the look of it, the interior layout of the 2024 Silverado HD looks very similar to the new interior layout of the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 light-duty pickup.
The 2024 Silverado HD featured here is likely the LTZ trim level. Similar to the refreshed light-duty Silverado 1500, the refreshed 2024 Silverado HD will continue to offer the old interior layout for lower trims, including WT and Custom, while the new interior will be equipped as standard higher in the trim level lineup, including for LT, LTZ, High Country, and the new-for-2024-model-year Silverado HD ZR2.
As GM Authority was the first to report, the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 will be equivalent to the GMC Sierra HD AT4X in terms of off-road capability, and will be equipped with unique features like revised front and rear bumpers, underbody protection, front and rear locking diffs, and 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires.
As for the broader 2024 Silverado HD lineup, the powertrain offerings will be upgraded for more output, with the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax chucking out nearly 1,100 pound-feet of torque and more than 500 horsepower. The front and rear fascia treatments will also be revised, while the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine will mate to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, rather than the GM 6-speed automatic used currently.

Some better use of the cameras would be great.. Go the way of Tesla and allow us to record around the clock and store it in the cloud with a subscription service even. Someone tried stealing my ’21 AT4 and cut the metal on the door..would have been nice to catch them on cameras and send to police. The trucks are fine on torque numbers..hopefully doesn’t cause long term maintenance issues for the people who actually tow with these rigs. My ’21 tows 25k easily on a gooseneck and I don’t know why anyone would need more power unless you’re trying to get into semi truck hauling territory.
