No matter where you’re from or what you believe in, the fact is there’s still more to unite us than there is to divide us. Indeed, there are still good samaritans out there, ready to jump into action when they see someone in need, as demonstrated in the following video after a Chevy Malibu has a collision with a motorcyclist.
The video comes to us from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and appears to be captured by a stoplight camera at an intersection. The conditions are clear, sunny, and bright. We see a pair of motorcycles cruising towards an intersection, with a Chevy Malibu sedan following closely behind.
As the motorcycles slowly coast through the intersection, the Chevy Malibu quickly approaches the unsuspecting bikers from the rear. It’s unclear what exactly happened, but somehow, the driver in the Chevy Malibu fails to slow down as it gets closer to one of the motorcycles.
Suddenly, the Chevy Malibu collides with the rear tire of the motorcycle, sending the man and woman on the bike spilling onto the pavement. The rider in back tumbles forward into the street, while the rider in front is pinned between the bike and the bottom of the car in the middle of the intersection.
The trapped individual can be seen struggling underneath the front bumper of the Chevy Malibu. All of a sudden, several bystanders rush the scene, lifting the Chevy Malibu in an attempt to free the person underneath. More people join the scene, and before long, upwards of 20 people join in to free the trapped motorcyclist.
Eventually, the man is freed and taken to the hospital. The man later went on to social media to express his gratitude, writing, “Thanking the man upstairs… the bike can be replaced but I can’t.”
Too true. The video is a reminder of just how quickly a cruise can turn into a catastrophe, but it’s also a reminder that there’ still good people out there willing to help when needed.
