  1. lol just need to put a “1” in front of the 2 to get back to reality

    1. That is in the USA only and don’t worry they can’t deliver in time anyway. My truck has been built since March and still not shipped. May have to look at Ford soon.

      1. It possible in Canada the spécial deal 2500.00

        1. Not. In Canada

      2. EU EV vehicles, I’ve read, most won’t ever make the US market. They have great utility vans. We won’t ever see them.

  2. An amazing trick. They have raised the price over the last few months an now offer a discount, really?

  3. Why buy a gas truck when the EV are coming out with comparable prices? Why is the government offering incentives to buying these gas vehicles when they will be fazed out? And the incentives are only available up to this year. It makes no sense. Parts will become unavailable for the gas/diesel trucks and cars. Hold on to your current truck or vehicle and buy EV just to do the right thing. There will be, I hope, State and Federal incentives to buy EVs when they come out.

I’m looking forward to the Silverado EV LT. With a few custom choices, it will be the perfect choice for me and I’m excited. Waiting is going to be difficult.

    1. I would have, but there’s no indication yet that they’ll be making an EV in the near future that can pull my 16,000 lb. 5th-Wheel. I mean, I at least switched from diesel to gas.

      1. And that’s even more foolish as gasoline gets 40% less fuel economy than diesel.
More pain at the pump for you.

        1. But it cost $10k less.

          1. And gas is so much cleaner than diesel.

    2. Here where I live, these EV trucks are 1 – hard to get, 2 – are super expensive (even counting the cost of fuel for the ICE versions) and 3 – like others have mentioned, if you need to pull, for work / travel, etc. these EV pickups’ range is still limited. That being said, the future is indeed in the EVs.

In my case, we are getting the best of both worlds. We have an VW ID.4 for commuting / daily needs and have on order a 1500 Silverado Duramax which I hope to see one day (been waiting for a year now).

    4. Sorry no ev for me. Living in Northwestern Ontario with 400 miles between Winnipeg to the west and 400 miles to the Soo to the east, ad in -45c temps in the winter and a transport truck accident that closes the one highway in between for 16 hours. You’re gonna freeze to death trying to stay warm

  4. As I predicted they are paying people to buy the 4-cylinder Silverado’s.

    Reply
    1. They are paying people to get the current stock out of the lots to make room for the EVs to come. If your preference is a heavy duty gas/diesel truck, I guess now or never. By 2027, all gas powered lawn equipment will be obsolete. That is 5 years away.

      1. What stock? I had to wait 10 weeks after they accepted my build sheet for my truck to be built and delivered.
