2024 Cadillac XT4 Caught Undergoing Testing

As GM Authority exclusively covered recently, the Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover is poised to receive a model refresh for the forthcoming 2024 model year, introducing updates to the exterior, interior, and tech offerings. Now, GM Authority has caught the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 undergoing testing as a camouflaged prototype.
This particular vehicle is an example of the Cadillac XT4 Sport trim level, and is covered in white paint and trimmed with black window surrounds, otherwise known as the daylight openings, or DLOs. Another clue that this is the Sport trim are the black roof rails.
This refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 prototype is wearing heavy camouflage covers that hide the front and rear fascias. As GM Authority covered before, the model refresh will introduce a new front-end treatment with revised lighting bits, the latter of which will follow Cadillac’s latest design language with horizontal headlights paired with a vertical string of lights, a layout that could echo design elements of the new Cadillac Lyriq.
Also note the wheels, which appear to be a new set not currently available. Behind the wheels are a set of red brake calipers up front and in the rear. Red brake calipers were an optional extra offered for the 2021 model year, although the feature was later discontinued for the 2022 model year.
The changes will continue into the cabin with revisions to the dash, gauge cluster, and central infotainment screen. Expect the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 to be equipped with a new, large, curved screen that spans the dash and integrates the instrument panel and center stack, similar to the layout seen in the fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade.
What’s more, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 will offer the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system, which will give customers the ability to activate hands-free driving on a selection of highways in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, the refreshed Cadillac XT4 may be equipped with the latest Global B electronic architecture, although it’s not necessarily required for the inclusion on the Super Cruise system.
The Cadillac XT4 crossover was originally poised to receive a refresh for the 2022 model year, but as a result of complications stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, the refresh was delayed multiple times. Now, however, the XT4 refresh is slated to arrive for the 2024 model year, while the 2023 Cadillac XT4 will introduce just a few small changes and updates.

now thats a TRUE luxury interior. far superior to the current one. i’m glad cadillac is implementing the escala concept interior to this day because it truly was and still is an amazing interior.
What a crazy improvement! I’m so glad this new interior is confirmed, I was starting to think that the xt4 was not going to feature a significant interior refresh (similar to the 2020 xt5 refresh not changing the interior much). The xt4 was always attractive in my eyes but this really elevates the car to new levels.
Always liked the exterior styling of the XT4. But found the road noise and the engine a disappointment
Glad to see the interior getting a nice update
Fingers crossed that the CT4/5 will get a similar interior refresh down the line. Finally, this car is going to actually be competitive. If Cadillac gets the materials right this may be the top interior in the segment.
Now they just need to figure out how to make it quieter, get more power out of the 2.0T like it had before and make the engine sound more pleasant. Them we would be getting somewhere.
Interior refresh for the XT5 and XT6 would be very welcomed as well.
Looks so much nicer already even with the heavy camo.
This is the interior refresh the XT4 needed to go along with the new Caddy front end. I hope we also get a
XT4 V with more power. I think we’ll also get a new generation XT5 IN 2024 with a similar interior and the same interior refresh to the XT6 that the XT4 got. I think the XT5 and XT6 will receive an available turbo V6.
Love the tail lights on the XT4…. PLEASE don’t screw with them….
It doesn’t look like they will change them much. It does look like the rear turn signals are going to be amber instead of red, which is a good thing in my opinion.
