It appears as though GMC is seeking to attract more consumer-focused buyers with the Sierra 1500 Pro trim level (as opposed to fleet buyers) by adding comfort and convenience features, as well as aesthetic upgrades like a body-color finish for select body components and 20-inch wheels.
As a reminder, the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is offered with four engine options, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and finally, the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Under the skin is the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

Ya,right the 6.2 and Duramax engines are under constraint in a lot of other models and they introduce this new edition saying it’s avaliable in it. Why don’t they fulfill older orders before offering new editons?
Nice orange pill paint in that shot….
In 2023 the 3.0 LM2 will not be available they did updates and changed it to 3.0 LZ0
Craig; I wonder if this newest iteration did away with the belt driven oil pump idea… Definitely make me feel more confident, knowing it’s a more conventional approach…. gears,chain,etc.. Anything but an oil soaked belt… too primitive for this guy.
