The Chevy Colorado nameplate will enter an all-new third generation for the 2023 model year, and with it, offer up the redesigned 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 off-roader. Now, we’re getting a quick new teaser video showing off the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 ahead its full reveal in July.

Clocking in at just 24 seconds, the new official teaser video is brief, but does provide us with a brief glimpse at what the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will look like, as well as some of the exterior features on offer. That includes the reshaped front end, which incorporates slimmer headlight housings and a new grille. The example in the video is also equipped with a “Safari Bar,” which dominates the fascia and rounds up to a centrally placed Chevy Bow Tie badge. We also see a set of fog lights located lower in the bumper.

The rear end was also revised with a new bumper, a new tailgate, and new taillights. Interestingly, we get a brief shot of the interior as well, where the gauge pod surround looks reshaped. In fact, the entirety of the 2023 Chevy Colorado interior will be overhauled to offer a brand-new cabin, likely following in the footsteps of the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 in terms of look and layout, as previewed by exclusive GM Authority spy photos.

As for the power specs, the 2023 Chevy Colorado will be equipped with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive will be standard for ZR2 models, while rear-wheel drive will be available elsewhere in the lineup. Under the skin will be an updated version of the GMT31XX platform that underpins the current model.

The entirety of the latest teaser video focuses on the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 out on the dirt, tearing it up off-road, and includes some shadowy, long-range shots of the exterior interlaced with close-cropped shots as well. Check it out right here:

  3. Vanilla comes to mind when seeing that video. Hope it looks cooler in person, and it better if it is to compete with what is already out there.

  4. I reviewed the specs of that 2.7 Liter a little more closely and the Torque Ratio on that engine puts this truck in direct competition with even some of the Full Sized trucks currently on the market, that’s definitely something that got my attention.

  7. Can the center console wireless charger work on a phone that’s bigger than 4 inches?
Just retarded GM never fixed that design defect.

  8. More evolutionary in some ways but added some nice Silverado styling cues.. you can’t go wrong with that. 1-2 Sierra and Silverado being the best looking full size trucks by a good margin.
I would take mine without the bars though.. too much going in the back for me. Bull guard is nice but.. I still like the truck without all those options. It looks better in my opinion in some ways without all the added stuff. Just give me some nice wheels and a 4 inch lift for me.

  9. We already have one, the ZR2 Silverado and the ZR2 Bison that’s coming. You can’t do a small jump on the Raptor without voiding the warranty and bending the frame, it’s a joke. Off-road to Off-road the ZR2 is in another league to the TRX and Raptor. Mall crawling? Those two obviously have it beat.
