The Satin Black Front Splitter/Side Rockers Package (RPO code PCR) will no longer be available to order on the 2023 Chevy Camaro, GM Authority has learned.
This exterior cosmetic add-on is a dealer-installed, LPO level package that added the following equipment to the sports coupe (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Satin Black rocker moldings (RPO STI)
- Satin Black front splitter, second generation (RPO SL2)
This package was available in all trim levels except for the high-performance Chevy Camaro ZL1 and could be ordered on both the Coupe and Convertible models. The cosmetic package cost $1,995 to equip on the 2022 Chevy Camaro.
With this change, the Black Accent Exterior Package (RPO code PCK), which cost $4,095, is also no longer available to order, as it included both the Satin Black rocker moldings (RPO STI) as well as the Satin Black front splitter, second generation (RPO SL2). This package also added either the 20-inch 5-split spoke Satin Black wheels (RPO 5JX) when ordered with the 1LT, 2LT, 3LT and LT1 trim level, or the 20-inch 5-split spoke Satin Black wheels (RPO 57S) when ordered with the 1SS or 2SS trim levels.
Production of the 2023 Chevy Camaro in both the Coupe and Convertible body styles commenced at the GM Lansing Grand River Plant in Michigan on June 17th, 2022. As we reported previously, GM will apply minor changes to the Chevy Camaro for the 2023 model year, including the addition of the new Radiant Red and Sharkskin Metallic exterior colors. Radiant Red will be offered with the Camaro’s various exterior Design Package equipment groups, while Sharkskin Metallic will be available with the Shock and Steel Special Edition package. The Camaro will also ditch the optional interior trim kits and sport pedals kit from the order book.
As a reminder, the Chevy Camaro engine lineup is comprised of four powertrain options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LTG gasoline engine, naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT1 gasoline engine, and supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. It rides on the GM Alpha platform, with production taking place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Why don’t they really simplify it by just dropping the car completely? They don’t give a sh!t about the car anyways.
Not until after I get one of the SS farewell models with a big fat ICE under the hood in my garage.
Another GM car, unloved and unchanged for years and allowed to pass with no one really giving a damn. Think Impala, Cruze, Sonic and the slow death spiral of the Malibu. Now, any interesting product goes to Mexico, South America and China.
They only built the final version of the Cruze for 4 years, so I’m not sure that should be included in “unloved and unchanged for years”. More like, killed off as soon as the opportunity arose.
Such a nice car it’s a shame that nobody’s buying it.
So many guys these days are just happy driving their SUV even in their 50s and 60s when they should be having some fun with a V8 rear wheel drive manual transmission muscle car.
Got them before they’re gone.
The Camaro is pretty impractical. I wouldn’t criticize people for buying cars that actually have usable back seats and feature some sort of visibility.
Did I forget to mention? With a manual gearbox!
Dang that was a great option package with the wheels, knocked about $600 off the price if added separately.
JUST BUILD A FEW LT1 WITH NO OPTIONS… and I’ll buy one.
If you seriously want a Camaro, you should probably buy one before it gets killed off.
I saw a lot of them parked in downtown Lansing last time I drove by there. Surely there is an LT sitting there.
I just checked online, and there is a dealer near me asking $25887 for just such a thing.
If they come back with the good lease deal on the LT1, I’m in, I doubt that’s gonna happen though.
Me too as long as can get a v-8 and manual transmission, I’m in!
I already ordered my 2ss with this package . Now what? Is it going to be just one color? This sucks. Might not take delivery if my car isn’t what I ordered!
GM drops the tire’s on all Camaro’s saying supply line issues are the cause. Buyers will be given a $50.00 credit and be responsible for getting their own. You know this is just a joke. The Camaro looks like it did maybe 15 years ago. Just take it out back and shoot it. It’s a wounded animal
I just need to know why my 2022 Camaro SS 1LE is sitting at the Lansing plant in a parking lot that was broken into a month ago, which 9 Camaros were stolen! The build was finished a month ago and still no delivery date! Give me my Camaro already! The ‘23 is already being built!!!
Maybe you could just head on down to that lot on MLK and steal one of them for yourself. It sounds like at least 9 people found that was the easiest way to take delivery.
There are so many there, GM might even thank you for clearing a few of them out.
Drop the price on the ZL1 to $45,000 and I’ll buy one
Ya you should be so lucky. Won’t happen.
Dead car walking!
Possibly dead car walking but almost assuredly better than whatever you’re driving there Rick.
The only reason it’s even dying is because guys like you would rather drive soccer mom trash with auto transmissions
