2023 Cadillac XT5 Park Assist Under Constraint

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 is the seventh model year for the first-generation crossover nameplate, ushering in a few noteworthy updates and changes as compared to the preceding 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that a park assist feature for the 2023 Cadillac XT5 is currently under constraint.

According to GM Authority sources, the Front and Rear Park Assist feature has been under constraint for all units of the 2023 Cadillac XT5 since the crossover began production on June 10th, 2022. Tagged with RPO code UD5, the Front and Rear Park Assist feature was originally set to be equipped as standard for all units of the 2023 Cadillac XT5. Vehicle production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, the same facility that produces GM vehicles like the Cadillac Lyriq EV crossover, Cadillac XT6 crossover, and GMC Acadia crossover.

The Cadillac XT5 was first introduced for the 2017 model year, with GM introducing a model refresh for the 2020 model year. However, as GM Authority has covered in the past, the introduction of the second-generation Cadillac XT5 has been delayed, which means that the current first-generation will soldier on without a major redesign for the 2023 model year.

That said, the 2023 Cadillac XT5 isn’t without some small updates and changes. Among these is a new list of exterior paint options, with three hues deleted from the list, and three new hues added. The three exterior paint colors deleted for the 2023 model year include Satin Steel Metallic (paint code G9K), Dark Moon Blue Metallic (paint code GLU), and Infrared Tintcoat (paint code GSK), while the three new colors include Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT), Opulent Blue Metallic (paint code GTR), and Argent Silver Metallic (paint code GXD).

As for the greasy bits, the 2023 Cadillac XT5 can be had with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, both which mate to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. Under the body panels is the GM C1 platform.
