The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is a major inflection point for the luxury SUV nameplate, stuffing the Escalade with oodles of supercharged horsepower and all the extras that come with it. Now, we’re checking out this 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V in Black Raven paint with the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
Up front, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V makes its performance intentions known with a revised fascia design that’s more aggressive than non-V models. The front grille is done with a glossy black mesh insert and black trim, both of which work well with the Black Raven exterior paint. The lower fascia also incorporates a reshaped bumper section with more black mesh and a splitter-styled lip, both of which are a little more subdued when added to the dark paint covering the body panels.
The profile view continues the aggressive styling with more black trim and sporty 22-inch wheels, the latter of which are unique to the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V. Wrapping the wheels is a set of Bridgestone Aleza A/S tires, sized at 275/50R22, with the extra-large Brembo brakes underneath finished in red. Also check the V-Series badging in the front doors, with plenty of road grime sprayed across the SUV’s dark paint job.
The rear end finishes it off with four exhaust pipes, which have a squared-off shape and mount in the corners of the lower rear fascia. The dark inner graphics in the vertical taillights and black detailing continue the overall black-out theme nicely.
For those who may not remember, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V sources its motivation from the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which produces a maximum of 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. All that go is sent to a full-time all-wheel drive system through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Under the skin is the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

A big black square shaped lump is what this looks like. Zero style, a kid could have drawn the body on this thing.
Whatever happened to those golden days when Cadillac oozed style and class, when you couldn’t wait to see the new body styles in the Fall each year.
Don’t care if this has 682 h.p., just a speeding big black blob racing down the highway. G.M. what has happened to you ?
