2023 Cadillac CT4 Driver Assist Package To Become Optional Again

The 2023 Cadillac CT4 is the fourth model year of the first-generation luxury sedan, ushering in a handful of updates and changes over the preceding 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the Driver Assist Package will once again be offered as optional for the 2023 Cadillac CT4.

The Driver Assist Package was originally optional for the 2020 Cadillac CT4 and 2021 Cadillac CT4, but made standard with the 2022 Cadillac CT4. Now, according to GM Authority sources, the Driver Assist Package is back on the options list with the 2023 Cadillac CT4.

Tagged with RPO code Y5Y, the Driver Assist Package for the 2023 Cadillac CT4 includes the following equipment (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG)
  • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (UGN)
  • Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)

The Driver Assist Package is offered as optional for the 2023 Cadillac CT4 Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, but is not offered for the Luxury trim.

Further updates for the 2023 model year include deletion of the optional Diamond Sky Special Edition Package, as well as a revised exterior paint options list.

As GM Authority exclusively covered earlier this month, production of the 2023 Cadillac CT4 is set to begin on July 11th, 2022, once again taking place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

The Cadillac CT4 (excluding CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing models) is available with two engine options, depending on the trim level selected. Kicking it off is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 237 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm, followed by the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. The 2.0L four-cylinder connects to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission, whereas the 2.7L four-cylinder connects to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Under the skin is the GM Alpha 2 platform.

  1. Leave it to GM to now make you pay for safety features which were free last year! And they wonder why so many people are buying foreign made vehicles that have their safety features included in their vehicles! Tomg
